Chama is a beautiful area. That is why I love it. It has great scenery, wild animals and friendly people. Plus a well-known narrow gauge railway (Cumbres & Toltec). Also many outdoor activities (Hiking, near-by lakes & river for fishing etc., horseback riding, walking or birdwatching & much more. Within walking distance of the Village, Railroad, restaurants and shops.

SNUGGLE UP & Relax after a busy day HUNTING & exploring the wonders of Northern New Mexico, truly the land of enchantment and imagination. Located 1 block from the downtown Village of Chama, NM and the Cumbres & Toltec Railroad, highest narrow-gauge RR in the country & many Outfitters. 1 hr from Pagosa Sprngs CO. 8 mi to CO border. We are 2 hrs from Santa Fe, Taos (river rafting, skiing in winter) and many Indian Pueblos to explore. HUNT the outback for big game and fish the lakes and rivers of Northern NM (several within 20-30 mins. away). There is abundant wildlife, fantastical scenery, Fall colors, winter wonderland for cross-country skiiing @ nearby Sargents Wildlife Park-2 mi. and wonderful mild Summer weather. Authentic New Mexican food is w/in walking distance, live music weekends @ the High Country-1 mi. (along with great food and spirits) and plain old fun at Foster's Saloon and Restaurant since 1881 (1 block from house). Or, take a stroll to Patsy's Ice Cream Shop for a delicious scoop of old-fashioned ice cream. Then take home a unique souvenir from one of the great small shops in the Village (many handmade directly from Chama or other nearby artisans. Be sure to take a ride to Dulce, home of the Jicarilla Apache Indians (27 mi.)
2 bedroom, 1 bath red white and blue house near everything for a truly enjoyable vacation. Plus occasionally watch some of the local wildlife from the front or backdoor(many types of birds, an occasional deer, elk, raccoon, squirrels or even a *skunk* (pew!) Lots of hummingbirds in the summer. Huge backyard with fruit trees. (apricot, small red or green plums and crab apples).

Access to whole house and yard except sheds in back. Wide gate in back if access is available through alleyway(In winter, snow may block access by vehicles).
