Hi, I'm Julianne and the guy towering over me in this picture is Shaun. Along with our crazy maltipoo, Buddy, we've been appreciating Prince Edward County for years and would love to share our century-old farmhouse with you.
While we live and work in Toronto, we've been visiting the County every summer for the past 10 years and each year we love it more and more. As I'm sure you've heard, it's changed a lot in that short time but the addition of more wineries, breweries, restaurants, cafes, artisans, and exciting things in general has made the County that much more special.
After looking for a few years, we chose this house because of its close proximity to Toronto (only 2 hours door to door, assuming traffic is decent), its historical significance and intact original features, and its immediate surroundings. Babcock-Hubbs House (named for its original builder + its generations-long stewards) is a special place with unmatched views of open fields, unlimited stargazing, and unbelievable sunsets. We felt it the minute we walked through the original kitchen door and we hope you will too.
Wishing you a magical stay in the County!
Julianne, Shaun... and Buddy ;)
