Josie's Haven is located half way between Kyogle (the gateway to the rainforests) and Casino (the Beef Capital), on the banks of the Richmond river in rural Northern NSW. It is a modern, small but cosy, self contained 2 bed room unit situated at the end of our home separated by a breeze way, on a 3 acre hobby farm. Chooks, ducks, turkeys, guinea fowl, cheeky goats, Pumpkin the jersey cow and Stormy our dog live in harmony here amongst the orchard, vegetable and herb gardens.

The space

Experience the peaceful, relaxed country atmosphere with sounds of birds singing, and our menagerie of domestic animals wandering around soaking up the sunshine.
You will be able to take a walk down a country road, stroll around our little property or take a dip in the river.
The property is only 15Kms in either direction from local towns which have supermarkets, cafes, pubs, restaurants and weekly markets.
The unit offers a kitchenette with an assortment of electrical appliances for cooking inside also a Webber Q BBQ, Pizza Oven, Antique wooden stove and a camp oven for cooking outside. Breakfast items are provided for your first day to cook at your leisure.
Josie's Haven would be ideal for 1 to 2 couples or a small family traveling through the area or attending a nearby event.

Mary and Gary were very nice, helpful, and warm welcomed. The accommodation is very nice and spotless. You will find everything you need. Fresh milk, fresh eggs and bread, butter, juice, even fresh herbs from the garden were also provided which was very convenient. With our children, we enjoyed the pizza wood oven and the fire pit, and also the beautiful garden, chooks, goats, and the cow. The fresh milk was delicious. Our kids loved playing with the dog Stormy and walk down to the river. Thanks a lot for this awesome weekend. We highly recommend Josie's place.

This is more than a stopover, the ideal place to recharge and to get away from the hussle and buzzle. If you enjoy farm life, this is the place to spend a few days. Mary is a perfect host, the "cabin" has everything you need and you even get pasteurized milk, fresh eggs, quietness, peace and just the opportunity to relax. Highly recommended!

This is a good spot ,close to National parks. Mary and Gary were friendly but not intrusive. Everything we needed in the form of appliances and kitchen equipment was supplied as well as bread, milk, butter, home made jam and relish , herbs from the garden, lovely fresh eggs from the chooks and more. The unit was lovely with indoor plants ,vases of lavender and a comfortable bed.
