The apartment is wonderful! you have beautiful sea view from the balcony and windows of the bedroom. The location is also very good, the parking is very convenient next to the building, or you can take the bus to the old harbor, the bus stop is only hundreds meters away from the apartment. There is also a very nice restaurant close to the apartment, which is well known as the fish soup that you won't miss!
Veronique's apartment is very comfortable and well-equipped, with interesting books, pictures and decoration. It's well-located for access down steps to the Corniche, with shops and the 83 bus to the Vieux Port and city centre close by. The block is one of three with use of the private Parc Montvert, which is very pleasant for a stroll and is overlooked by the large balcony with its amazing views by day and night over the bay towards the Calanques to the south - the view from the other side over Endoume and the islands, including the Chateau d'If, is also great. We had a very enjoyable stay here and were well-pleased with our choice.
It was a delight to stay in Véronique's apartment. This is no sterile rental but a much loved home, full of personality. The photos don't do it justice. The views are magnificent and change all the time, depending on weather and time of day. Our favourite place in the apartment was the very large balcony; it was a very relaxing place first thing every morning and late in the day, after a busy day of sightseeing. As well as the ever-changing sea view, there is a view over Parc Valmer next door, a wonderful Mediterranean garden which was our favourite place for walks. We loved being part of the community, watching the children play soccer under our balcony in the late afternoons and residents walking their dogs in the park each morning. Despite this, the apartment is very quiet and peaceful. Access to the centre of Marseille is easy, thanks to the 83 bus which runs very regularly along the Corniche. Véronique was a very gracious host. Helen
