Located 2 blocks from the plaza, one block from the main shopping street, and one block from Mexico's largest lake. Easy walk (10 minutes) in El Centro. Quiet and relaxed here. Own entrance. Share kitchen, washer/dryer. I provide fruit, and cereal and my own home made delicious banana bread along with coffee and/or herb teas.

The space

The garden is gorgeous and this is one of the best locations in the village (El Centro). If you drive a car you won't use it much except when exploring outside of Ajijic. Most everything you want to explore is just a short walk from here. There are several hiking trails in the mountains.

Guest access

Cultural center, plaza events, and great restaurants, plus the malecon along the lake (a boardwalk) and very friendly locals whom are most bilingual/bicultural just minutes away.Nearby is San Juan Cosala which has a variety of hot springs. Go for a day and pamper yourself! or just sit in the garden here and relax. There is a gym 10 minutes away.

Interaction with guests

As a former tourguide, I know a great deal about Mexico. I am happy to share information and tips. So, as much or little as they like, but I am available most of the time.

Lew is a wonderful and welcoming host. He has cast knowledge from years if travel plus first hand knowledge of Lakeside life. He was a wealth of useful information to us and we quickly became friends. Once we relocate permanently in the area I fully expect that this will continue. The location if his Casita is unbeatable..close to everything.

I had the most wonderful time staying with Lew. As far as I'm concerned, his spot is the best Ajijic has to offer. We took walks around town, cooked some legendary soups, discussed all levels of existence, and had some great laughs. Lew knows hospitality, and his background in tour guiding shows. Lew is very easy going and his place is very comfortable and quiet, in a great location. I now consider Lew a lifelong friend. Until next time Lewski dude. cheers, -Michael

Response from Lew:
I look forward to hearing about the Paracho trip. There is something very special about getting a fine guitar directly from the guy who made it. Don't let them not put a Paracho sticker inside it. I had to ask for one!!!! Love to see the photos as well. Also, there are some kool day trips or overnite from Ajijic to explore sometime. It was all great fun amigo. Love to stay in touch as well.
