Ardlair is a family run guest house situated 1 mile north of the village, enjoying an elevated panoramic view over Lochbroom and surrounding mountains. We have a choice of family, double or twin rooms, all with private shower rooms. Rooms are offered on a room only basis so no breakfast is available. There are bowls, plates and cutlery in the rooms as well as the usual tea and coffee making facilities so you are more than welcome to take in your own breakfast.

The space

All rooms have fantastic views over Lochbroom and Mountains beyond. This room has a comfortable super-king sized bed, 40" flat screen tv and newly refurbished shower room with w.c.

Guest access

Our three guest rooms are all on the first floor with a separate entrance to the main house so you can come and go as you please.
Unfortunately we're unable to provide breakfast at the moment but you are more than welcome to take in your own breakfast, all rooms have bowls, plates, cutlery ect and we can provide fresh milk and butter if required.
There are also plenty of places in the village that provide breakfast and a list of these is in the information pack along with menus.

Interaction with guests

We are a family run Bed and Breakfast that looks forward to welcoming you to our home. If there is any way we can help you during your stay please let us know.

We only stayed 1 night at Ayesha's place, but would have happily stayed longer. The house is easy to find, and even though it's on the main road there is not much traffic noise. The room is large, bed very comfortable. It's great having the separate access too, so you don't feel like you are disturbing the family. A couple of lovely touches (like a welcome drink!) make this place really special. Highly recommend!

Great sized room, beautiful views, thoughtful touches like a little dram of whiskey and locally made shortbread. Fresh milk for tea and coffee delivered outside the door in the morning. 20 minute walk into Ullapool (quite a fast road), and an easy £5 taxi back. Easy check in/out. Lovely little find, would recommend to anyone.

AMAZING - by far the best Airbnb I've ever stayed in (and I've stayed in a lot). It's more like a boutique hotel than a B&B. Absolutely gorgeous and a huge bedroom with a beautiful view. The bed was super comfy and great pillows (a lot of place I've stayed get the basics wrong, but not here!). Check in was really easy. We absolutely loved our stay and have already recommended to friends. If we return to Ullapool we will stay here again. Absolutely faultless.

Great room with a king size bed, an en suite with great shower and lots of added extras thrown in. No breakfast but milk and butter delivered, and plenty crockery supplied so you can make your own. Great views of the loch. Steep stairs up to the room but handrail made it easier.

Gorgeous room with a huge comfy bed, stunning view over the loch, whisky and Scotch pancakes to sample... Perfect! Ayesha was welcoming and helpful too.

I enjoyed a spotlessly clean room with lovely views across the Loch. It is a little bit out of town though a pleasant walk into town downhill. I used a taxi back which was only £5.00 and good value. Room had good facilities for making tea / coffee with added bonus of a good glass of whisky being made available.
