Come stay in our family summer camp on beautiful Caspian Lake. The rustic house and cabins were originally built in the 1930's. The house sits on a private lawn with spectacular views of the lake – known for it’s pristine, clear and silky water. A great boathouse with a deck just above the lake is a favorite hangout for yoga, a sauna or spirited matches of ping-pong. We have a rowboat and swimming off a beautiful granite rock to the raft.
It is a classic uninsulated camp without a fancy state of the art kitchen but all the basics are there including a new dishwasher and Wifi. Perfect for family or group reunions, the main house sleeps up to 10 and the cabins accommodate another 9-10. Upstairs are five bedrooms: one master bedroom with a queen, two bedrooms with doubles, one bedroom with a double and a twin, one cute little single and a bathroom with an old clawfoot tub. There is a outdoor shower with hot & cold water and a lake view. Downstairs there is a large living room, dining room, kitchen and a ½ bathroom. Five small cabins with a queen, 2 doubles, and 3 bunk beds make up the “village” tucked away in the woods.
You will hear loons at night, or maybe get a glimpse of our resident mink. Swim, sauna, fish, canoe, play ping-pong, BBQ, or get cozy by the Franklin fireplace, this is one of the most beautiful places in the Northeast Kingdom to relax and play with family and friends!
The Northeast Kingdom is a remote part of the world – wifi speed and cell strength are probably weaker that what you are used to – depending on your carrier you may or may not get cell service right at the house. However there is a landline which you can use to call anywhere in the USA for free.
Travellers will have access to the entire property.
