Surrounded by green olive groves in the heart of the etruscan countryside, the villa sits on the top of a hill facing the Tyrrenian sea, about 10 kilometres from the ancient cities of Tuscania and Tarquinia.
The all round garden, with its aromatic plants, flowers and vines, has a swimming pool with a characteristic Etruscan fountain and a relaxation zone under wooden gazebo, ideal for eating outside.
The garden area is completely fenced in with an automatic entrance gate and a paved parking zone.
There is a barbecue area with a wood burning oven and a pergola (further covered area) with a table and chairs for outdoor dining in the 10000m2 fenced in parkland that surrounds the internal garden and house.
Complete privacy is guaranteed by the surrounding hedges, pine trees and oak trees.
While walking in the parkland it is possible to see sheep in the fields, or horses and donkeys grazing near the fence.
Should you wish there is also the possibility of buying milk, eggs, oil and cheese from the farm nearby or of dining in one of the typical local restaurants, which can be reached on foot.
The local area offers a variety of things to do to suit all tastes.
Walkers will be delighted by the local countryside and the ancient village of Montebello while serious hikers will enjoy the woods and Tuscania national park. There are many Etruscan necropolis to visit as well as lake Bolsena, Monte Argentario Park, the salt basins of Tarquinia, not to mention the beaches nearby and much more.
A little further away, reached by the scenic routes over the hills or the faster motorway, are the most beautiful cities of central Italy like Rome, Florence, Siena, Assisi, Viterbo, Spoleto, Orvieto and many other smaller medieval village.
The villa can accommodate ap to 11 people.
Guests who rent the villa, regardless of their number, will have the house and swimming pool for their exclusive use.
The owners, lovers of the history of art, have decorated the house with reproductions of Italian reinassance paintings by Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Raffaello, Caravaggio, to name but a few, the originals of which can be seen in the cities mentioned above.
A typical dinner with local delicacies and a short recital by the owner (a professional lyric singer) can also be provided ad an additional cost.
The owners are at your complete disposal next door for any eventuality without disturbing the privacy of their guests.
Interaction with guests
Being a lover of art and culture, my favourite pastime is studying the history of art, literature, theatre and music but I also adore walking in the woods and being with my cats.
Cooking is another of my loves and I enjoy inventing tasty dishes for my friends who come for dinner.
Other things to note
Here I’ve found peace and tranquillity even though we are only a few kilometres from big cities. I can breathe fresh air, far from any kind of pollution and immersed in the silent nature of the roman countryside.
