Our beautiful, spacious studio (w/separate kitchen!) in Morningside Heights is only seven blocks away from Central Park and a block away from the C line; only fifteen minutes from Times Square! Nearby: Starbucks, Chase, Best Yet (a FANTASTIC grocery store a la Whole Foods), and SO many gourmet restaurants!

Interaction with guests

My apartment is only ever available when I am out of town. So you probably won't ever actually see me, but as soon as we confirm your reservation, you'll get my phone number and e-mail so you can contact me anytime you need me. I have great friends in the city who can help you out and get you settled, so you're never really alone.

PROS: (1) Apryl and Josh were really nice and accessible; (2) the flat was really close to the subway and to the central park CONS: (1) the shower didn't work (we practised the "glass-on shower"); (2) the heating didn't work since the third day; (3) there was clear room for cleanliness improvement: all the space was plenty of things, and although the floor was ok, the dust is clearly noticeable (let's say) from an olfactory perspective.

Apryl's place was just what we needed for our trip! The location was perfect and not too busy. Nearby subway station and super market made it very convenient. Although we never used the XBOX for Hulu and Netflix, she let us know it was available for use if we wanted to. Apryl was very sweet and accommodating - responded quickly after running into a few NYC apartment quirks. I would definitely book with Apryl again!

Positive feedback, we liked the apt. It's small but has all that it needs, it's 1 minute on foot away from the local train stop with B/C and has a few buses as well passing next to it. It's south harlem, so on Sunday don't miss the gospel mass at the Mt Neboh baptist church (be there early!) You have Starbucks, market, minimart, a few restaurants just around the block. The house is warm even on coldest days. Apryl has Hulu and Netflix (at the time of writing, 12.04.2015) that you can use while staying there and Wifi working great. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen works fine. Recommended. Cons: It's an old building with steam heating that sometimes made too much noise.

Apryl & Josh's place was perfectly situated. The C ligne is almost 2 building away and when it is so cold you really enjoy being too close. The place is very nice even if the building is very old. There is a big room with two sides : a bed side and another side with a couch and tv. There was also an XBOX360 et PS2 with many games. There was a furnished kitchen and a shower. Little problem with the shower, we couldn't swith it to the hand/head shower, so it wasn't very handy to take showers...) The quality of the WIFI signal was good. We never used the cable to watch tv but they told us that there is more than 100 channels available. As we were there in early January it was very cold outside, the radiator for heating is very good. We really loved our stay there, the only thing we can criticize is the towels/sheets. They weren't smelling fresh. Fortunately, we brought ours. Apryl & Josh are so helpful and very reactive. Whenever we needed something they replied quickly. We recommend their place ^^.

Apryl's place was beyond our expectations. Its location was very convenient with a nearby metro station that took us in a few minutes to various touristic spots in Manhattan. The apartment was very well furnished and very comfortable during our winter stay. Although Apryl was out of town, she did her best to accommodate us. The building is conveniently placed near a supermarket, restaurants and a fast food place. I definitely recommend bookmarking Alex's place if you are planning on being in NYC.

I am a 24 year old working actress. I share my studio with my boyfriend, Josh. We went to college together and have been living together for two years. We're both huge nerds: Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, Xbox. We're also both very dedicated to our work so we love to read plays and see theatre here in NYC.

As working actors, we're sometimes both away on jobs and would love to help out people looking for a nice, convienent place to stay when visiting the city. We love the opportunity to travel with our jobs. For example, I'm in Japan right now working for Tokyo Disneyland and last year I had the opportunity to travel the country with a children's theatre company while Josh spent the summer in Husdon, NY performing in Cabaret.
