This contemporary yet classically styled detached property is situated in the most beautiful location just metres from the shore edge. Less than 3 miles to Eilean Donan Castle & 9 miles from The Skye Bridge. This family home, that has seen its occupants grow up & move on, has every amenity needed for a rural highland retreat. The tranquility this area offers is assured to aid you in achieving peace & relaxation away from everyday life's stresses.

The space

Choose between a double room set-up or a twin room.

Please specify when making your enquiry.

Our home is slowly being re-decorated.

Our home has been the hub of 3 busy humans for the past 10 years- since it was built.

There are flaws in the aesthetics - that's not to say that we aren't in the process of tying everything together.

Rome wasn't built in a day!

I, myself work, study & live in Glasgow- some 200miles away from the property.

My mum is in Inverness, 70 miles away, & is also working & studying.

My younger brother is also working & studying in Glasgow.

Guest access

Please, please no smoking inside.

No one has ever smoked in this house & we can not stress how much we would like this to continue.

Of course outside is perfectly ok.

You will be renting a double room with full & sole use of the shower room both of which are upstairs, have beautiful views from the windows, offer cupboard space and feature lockable doors.

Full access (albeit shared with owners- who are aiming to complete the removal of all private possessions between Easter ''17 & Summer ''17 in order to rent the full 3 bedroom house out) to downstairs for guests comprising of living room, open plan kitchen dining room space, w/c, vestibule, utility room and outside veranda.

Ample off road parking space for your vehicle available right next to the house.

Double bedroom compromises of: double bed, desk & chair, 2 x fitted cupboards- 1 with rail & shelf, shelving unit, window with stunning view of loch.

Solid oak flooring downstairs, tiled flooring in utility & w/c, carpeted stairs & upstairs, Lino in upstairs shower room.

Fully fitted kitchen to use with glass top hob & extractor fan, fan oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, sink, dishwasher, pantry.

Utility with fridge/freezer, washing machine, sink, coat hooks, boot rack and door leading to garden.

Round the corner from the utility is the downstairs w/c.

South-facing living room with leather suite, French style double doors, tv with freeview & external speakers, Nintendo wii, multi-fuel stove & patio doors opening onto veranda with stunning loch views.

Chess & other board games available.

Shower room has heated towel rail, toilet, sink, velux window & of course... a shower!

Large ironing board available & iron, hair dryer, bt internet, 1 x hand towel & 1 x large towel per person.

Take advantage of this great location and try activities like hill-walking, fishing, cycling, kayaking or simply walk along the road to the very end where your breath will be taken away from you...!

Eat out and sample some of the finest seafood and game in the country with beautiful eateries such as Kinloch Lodge in Sleat, The 3 Chimneys, in North Skye, Off the Shore in Plockton or Bùth Bheag in Kyle as well as many others!

Experience nature at your fingertips.

From the house you may see deer visiting in the garden, otters on the rocks on the shore, various birds- small and large, pine martins running across the road, crabs on the shore in rock pools, sheep & lambs in the croft next to the house, chickens in neighbouring gardens and much more.

Last but no means least- our aging cat Merlin still lives here.

A neighbour can sometimes have him but they are not always available to do so.

As cats and other animals have been in the house over the years, those with allergies may need to consider this.

Merlin is the most gentile of cats & clenliness is still very much of the highest standard.

Interaction with guests

Either myself or my mum, Fiona, will be able to let you into the property.

My mobile phone number is available & I strive to answer as soon as possible.

My work life usually gives me the flexibility to answer at most times during the day or evening.

Any questions you may have would be happily answered before, during or after your stay.

Communication is key.

A lack of it will result in your stay being impacted upon negatively.

Please, any questions- ask!

Also, when first booking, please tell me what aspects are important to you so we can tailor the house to your needs- long term travellers may be interested in different aspects of the house & may need different things than those on a short break.

We are not mind readers.

It has been brought to our attention by previous guests that this lack of communication does nothing but leave both sides unhappy- something that we would strive to avoid, but it's a two way street.

Me and my gf spent two lovely nights in this fascinating house. The place itself, is beautiful, quiet, homy. It totally overcame our expectations and we would most certainly go back again! Everything went very well. Kim was attentive and helpful at all times. Always willing to help. Thank you again Kim and see again in a near future.

Wonderful house in a wonderful location. Wish we had stayed longer to make full use of the place. The view was spectacular, great to wake up to. Very peaceful as if you were the only people for miles.
