The purest of airbnb experiences. The room is beautiful and peaceful, extra special futon, and so close to Namba! But it’s Toyoko and her family who really add the heart to the place. So kind-spirited, thoughtful and joyful for life. In just 2 days we’ve seen a local Autumn festival, dressed in a kimono, played koto, talked about shibori and the list goes on. It’s an honour and a rarity these days- you have to come to appreciate it. Highly recommended.

Toyokos home is the perfect place to stay, I’ve had the greatest time there! First of all, Toyoko and her family are amazing hosts! I was welcomed with a cup of delicious hojicha tea, and got a lot of good advices for food and sightseeing. The house is a beautiful architectural gem. My room was full of small little details that just made me feel like home. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood and close to the station and with some convenient shops nearby. I also visited Sumiyoshi shrine, a very nice place and only 10 minutes by foot. Thanks again for all Toyoko!

This trip go to Osaka with my mom, I m trying to looking for the bigger room and nice location to stay. We do very lucky can stay in Toyoko's house. Since my mom not very easy to go everywhere. Toyoko they drive us to train station is was help us a lot. And the room is 100% same as the picture very clean and everything arrange perfect. She also show us many different culture of Japanese. And we do try the tradition kimono & tea culture in her house. We can feel the most welcome from Toyoko and her family. And the house is just next to the training station , around there have 24 hrs convenience store and different restaurant. I will higher recommend Toyoko's house if you plan to stay go Osaka: ) and we do looking forward the next stay there soon!!!

One of the best BnBs ever that we have been to. Built in the 90's I believe, Toyoko's place is enriched with the 1990's Japanese style that one can find in text book. Intriguing space planning and comfortable interiors with sky light in every rooms definitely make one wants to stay in. The Toyoko family treated us like long lost friends, they try their best to show us Osaka. Gave us rides to stroll around a city and share with us their art collections, which help us to understand best the geography of Osaka. Toyoko's place is located right next to the Sawanocho train station in a residential area. Nearby is the famous Sumiyoshi Shrine, some local restaurants with the best Sashimi fish that we randomly ordered. Staying in Toyoko's place can definitely allow one to explore more of Osaka and come to meet nice people and have very good travel experience.

Highly recommended!! Book this guesthouse if you want a special trip with more than shopping and tourist attractions!! 1. Toyoko and her family are so kind and hospitable. They were very helpful in providing instructions on transportation. The first day we arrived the train station very late (after midnight), but Toyoko was standing outside the train station waiting for us! We were so impressed and thankful! 2. The guesthouse is very lovely with a unique design. The room is so clean and spacious. I never tried traditional Japanese Futon bed before, but it surprised me that it turned out to be so comfortable! Good for family! 3. The guesthouse is just next to the train station. Very convenient. One 24-hour convenience store is just nearby, so late-night snacks are not a issue. 4. This is how you get into the locals and learn Japanese culture. Toyoko and her daughter took us out around for a walking tour of Shrines in one early morning. The shrine was 1000+ years old. It seems a secret spot because it is not well-known among foreign tourists. We got to draw fortune-telling papers and found lucky stones. We learned a lot from them. This was definitely the best part of a journey - making friends! 5. The guesthouse is located in a residential area, so it's quiet. Even though this guesthouse is not located in the center of downtown, it's not too far. It took a ride of as soon as 15 minutes from the Sawanocho station to Namba station! 6. Definitely coming back again when I return to Osaka!
