This Visit England four star holiday home is the perfect base for exploring the wonderful sights and delights of Somerset and the Mendips.
This delightful holiday home is set in the grounds of the owner’s home, Bainesbury House, and has been furnished to a very good standard. The ground floor is open plan, with bi-folding doors all along one side overlooking the neatly lawned garden, features a wood burner, so is great for the cooler evenings.
Step to entrance.
Open plan living space: With tiled floor and bi-folding doors leading to garden.
Living area: With wood burner, 40" Freeview Smart TV, DVD player and double sofa bed (for flexible sleeping arrangements).
Kitchen area: With electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer.
Landing/snug: With double day bed (for flexible sleeping arrangements).
Bedroom: With kingsize bed and Freeview TV.
Shower room: With shower cubicle, toilet and heated towel rail.
Guest will have their own off street parking and access to the large lawned gardens. There are numerous walks nearby which guests can enjoy at their leisure.
Interaction with guests
The owner will invariably be available to greet guests and assist with any queries that they may have.
Other things to note
You will be situated just a stones' throw away from the lovely Grade I listed Downside Abbey and a short drive from the City of Bath and the City of Wells. For the more adventurous, Longleat Safari Park is a short distance away as is the mystical Glastonbury Tor and world renowned Glastonbury Festival.
Occupation of the Lodge
The maximum number of guests as specified in the booking confirmation must not be exceeded. If it is, we may charge the appropriate full charge for the additional accommodation, from the date the party arrived at the Lodge. We reserve the right to refuse entry to the entire party if this condition is not observed. The accommodation must not be sub-let.
Services Rental charges include bed linen, towels and bathrobes for use during your stay. Beds will be made up prior to your arrival and for bookings of more than one week linen and towels will be changed at the end of each week. Electricity, gas, Wifi and water are included within the rental charge.
Care of the Property
Guest shall take all reasonable and proper care of the property and its furniture, pictures, fittings and effects in or on the property and leave them in the same state of repair and in the same clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period as was found at the beginning. Apart from items provided by us in the living area; no candles are to be used in the lodges. No furniture, bedding, crockery or cutlery is to be moved from the lodge.
Fixtures & Fittings
All fixtures, fittings and equipment must be used solely for their intended purpose. We request that you do not take into the lodge any portable heaters, lighting equipment or any items that may cause danger to the lodge, its equipment or its occupants. Any bulky items such as bicycles, fishing or golf equipment are not to be taken into the lodges; outside storage is provided.
Breakages, Damage or Missing Items
The Guests are legally bound to reimburse either via the credit or debit card used to pay for the holiday or otherwise, for all breakages, damage, missing items or excessive cleaning caused by the party during the period of the rental.
The Guests must not do anything which may be a nuisance or annoy the neighbours. The Client must not play any radio, CD, record player, television or similar equipment or musical instrument in a way that will cause a nuisance, annoy the neighbours or be heard outside the lodge between 10.30 pm and 7.30 am.
We endeavour to ensure that everything is to your satisfaction during your stay. Should there be any cause for complaint during the occupation of the property, it must be notified within 24 hours to the management and in the case of a serious problem confirmed in writing.
We operate a no smoking policy within the lodges.
Breach of terms of conditions
If you are in breach of any of these terms and conditions, we can refuse to hand over the property to you, or can repossess it. If we do this, we will treat this as you cancelling the booking. In these situations you will not receive a refund of any money you have paid for your booking. And we will not be legally responsible to you as a result of this situation. (This will include, for example, any costs or expenses you have to pay due to not being able to stay in the property, such as the cost of finding other accommodation.) We are not under any obligation to find any alternative accommodation for you.
Cancel up to 7 days before your trip and get a 50% refund. Cancel within 7 days of your trip and the reservation is non-refundable.
