Zachary and his pup Nibbler were both great hosts. He always responded very quickly and was so accommodating. His home is beautiful, newly constructed with high ceilings. There was a water on the bedside table and an espresso machine to get me going in the morning. The bed was co…

Zachary was extremely accommodating, polite, and helpful. I literally can’t think of a single thing I didn’t enjoy about my AirBNB stay at Zachary’s place. No regrets!

Zach is trying to collect money from me after claiming I left his house damaged. At no point did I damage his home and the only mess left behind were towels on the bathroom floor. The Air Bnb collections department has notified me he filed a claim but Zachary hasn’t text, called,…

Response from Zachary:
Not really sure where to start but simply put: Paul, his coworker, and especially his dog are NEVER allowed back at my property. I completely understand that Paul was upset about misreading the AirBNB website and that during the booking process he had apparently overlooked the fact that mine (at only $60/night) was simply a room rental and not an entire property rental for 2 people and their pet. However, when Paul asked me for a complete refund of his 7 day stay on the day of his booking and only 5 hours before his check-in, I was forced to explain to him that I couldn't just take a loss on the property for the week but that I would indeed reach back out to another family that had requested the same time frame and that I had to originally deny because Paul had requested the dates first. Feeling bad about that, I then even offered to leave town that weekend so that Paul could at least enjoy Friday night through Sunday evening at the property as if it were indeed an entire property private booking. I had hoped that that would appease Paul while also giving me some extra time so that I could try and find someone to fill the mid-week portion of his stay and refund him. This is where I made my mistake. I NEVER should have given him access to my property and this is where I wish AirBNB would allow me to submit pictures to back my claim. Not only did I arrive home to my garage being wide open but in what I can only fathom to be a spiteful attempt to get back at me for not refunding his entire trip, Paul left his dog in my garage throughout his trip, allowed it to defecate multiple times inside, did NOTHING to clean the feces, and then proceeded to allow his dog to smear it on all of my personal items inside of my garage throughout the duration of his stay. His dog also climbed on top of my chairs, table, work bench, and shelves leaving a trail of paw-print feces everywhere, before eventually ripping into and ruining a brand new $40 bag of my own dog's dog food that was located 3 shelves up from the ground. I had to toss the entire bag along with two fece covered white towels, that had obviously been used to clean his dog inside my house, and a $25 bag of sanded grout that was completely covered in feces. But wait, there's more, the dog then proceeded to climb a desk on the opposite side of the garage, bite into/puncturing several cases worth of water bottles that I had left over from Hurricane Harvey, & defecated yet again on top of my desk behind my TV. I tried to reach out to Paul for reimbursement of the damages and an explanation but after receiving no communication back, I was forced to ask AirBNB to intervene.
