We spent 4 days in the tiny but cozy apartment of Mafalda and Sueko in the heart of Alfama, an old Lisbon district. If you are a passionate stepwalker, this district is for you! The apartment is one of some in an old and small Alfama house. The entrance could be a little more inviting. The bedroom has a fantastic view at the Tejo. The other rooms are inward and so are the windows. This was ok for us. The kitchen has enough equipment and as long as you won't cook for guests, it's enough for a short stay, though I wished we would have more kitchen towels and a fresh sponge. As we were out all day long, we didn't use the telly. WiFi is working without downtime. The place is quite and we slept with open windows. Although the small bathroom is enough for two people we had problems hanging our towels. Some basic hooks would be very much appreciated. As well as a drawer for storing our clothes. There is a wash station in walking distance. We can recommend the Giallo as a breakfast restaurant. The apartment is for tourist rental only, the hosts live elsewhere.
