Description

The space

The studio is nestled in the unusually relaxed, trendy and nice Canal Saint-Martin neighborhood, in Northeastern Paris, in the 10th arrondissement. Trendy, bobo, fashion, the neighbourhood has also made famous appearances in movies like Amélie and Hôtel du Nord.
Located in a very quiet street , the studio completely renewed, offers all amenities for a wonderfull stay in Paris.
Bright with 3 big windows, it has the charm of the old parisian style, with the confort of modernism. It's located on the 2nd floor, ovelooking the inner courtyard.
The kitchen is basically equipped with electrical plates, a cattle, a micro-wave and a fridge. Coffee tea, are supplied. There's also a washing machine and a Hoover.
The flat can welcome a single person with a high quality « french » bed (120cm) offering a wonderfull sleep.

Guest access

The Towels, bed sheets are provided; as well as coffee and tea, shampoo...

Interaction with guests

As I'm often travelling you'll mostly be welcomed by wonderfull friends of mine. Real parisianers they'll greet you at the door and give you a tour of the space with detailed description. I'll provide you with the best advices on the area and support you in any needs.

The neighbourhood

You'll be living in the bohemian neighbourhood of the canal Saint Martin, between République, Gare du Nord, Belleville… The canal feeds into the Seine River in the South and the Bassin de la Villette and the Canal de l'Ourq in the North. It's a perfect place to walk alongside, to shop, to have coffees… well to experience a perfect truly parisian lifestyle.
On Sundays, two streets running parallel to the canal, Quai de Valmy and Quai de Jemmapes, are reserved for pedestrians and cyclists—perfect for renting a bike and seeing the city from a fresh angle. You'll also have the possibility to take a tour of the canal by boat.
In the spring and summer, parisians drove to the banks of the Canal Saint-Martin to picnic.
The area is supplide with eclectical Cafes as well as « Chez Prune » ; « le Comptoir Général » , « Le Carillon »… where trendy and mixed Parisians go to see and be seen ;
A lot of ateliers, magasins de créateurs, atypic restaurants : get your pizza delivered canalside by « the Pink Flamingo » ; or delicious asiatic food from the famous « Le cambodge » restaurant.
So many nice places flank the water and iron footbridges, and the surroundings neighbourhood , that visitors of all ages should find something to love there. And when you want to vary the ambiance, 5mn ‘s walk up to the north, you'll find the amazing Belleville area – « home to one of Paris's lively Chinatowns, a burgeoning artist quarter and a dizzying array of cultures. » 10mn ‘s walk to south, République and Le Marais …

Hello,
As a parisian living folk, I appreciate a lot to talk and introduce people to this wonderful city. I like to travel myself and also sometimes to settled down in a foreign country.
I like to share, moreover with a glass of good wine and listenning to good music.
I look forward to meeting you
à très bientôt!
Laure
