Such a quaint apartment close to Mount Shasta, falls, hikes and all the area has to offer. Well appointed. We had all we needed for our short stay. The view is fabulous. As another guest mentioned, there are no windows in two of the three bedrooms and the window in the one bedroom does not open so for our stay we needed to use the fans as the A/C was not working and it was a warm, warm day. The two bathrooms are en suites. Honestly if you know this up front, it doesn't lessen the experience in any way. The place is spectacular and well kept. Totally worth the experience.

This was a real find! Set above a historical building in a small community at the foot of Mount Shasta, the apartment was a delightful getaway and home base for exploring the area. Our family of 5 had plenty of source. It's a convenient driving distance to multiple waterfalls and hiking trails. McCloud is a quiet community that once was a hub for logging. It still has a quaint small town feel, and everyone we met was welcoming and friendly. Melissa was a delightful host, lives in town, and takes pride in the property and its historical nature.

Overall place is good, very clean, has character, and , yes - best view in town. However, there are things I'd like to know before I booked that I did not find in the description or other reviews. Namely: there is no dining area in the apartment. We were group of 6 people and we cannot seat comfortably at the kitchen counter as it has only 3 chairs; two of the bedrooms does not have windows, the third bedroom has the window but no door; the two bathroom are an ensuite, so people in 3d bedroom have to go through others people bedroom.

Response from Melissa:
We have not had a problem in the past with our phone and we are sorry it inconvenienced you. I have had all of the items you listed and ;more, but will check and make sure they are there in future. The bedroom with the door missing was to conform with building code. There are 6 bar stools total. This apartment was added to a 1906 ba;;room and we are sorry it did not meet your expectations.

My husband and I live in McCloud, a beautiful valley at the foot of famous Mr. Shasta. We are career retired, but own a 1906 Ballroom which brings visitors to us all summer long. I love to meet people, and we enjoy the activities available here. You should visit us!
