My rustic condo is the perfect home base for all the Steamboat outdoors you can handle. Ski, hike, bike and fish within minutes, yet enjoy a cozy, relaxing retreat at the end of the day, away from the hustle and bustle of the resort.
Guests will love the secluded hillside location, the panoramic views of the valley, and the log-cabin feel with all the amenities of home, including a fireplace, modern kitchen and fast WiFi.
Minutes from town yet a world away, soak up the sun and the stars!
Rustic first-floor condo in the Timbers complex, about 10-12 minutes south of downtown Steamboat Springs. Huge exposed timbers, wood-burning fireplace and the secluded hillside location give it a cabin-like feel, but with all the modern conveniences of home and none of the stress.
Full kitchen, fast internet and WiFi, comfy living room, storage for skis, and you can see for miles from the comfort of the couch!
The condo is small, at under 600 square feet, but arranged well to provide usable space. Due to the nature of the structure and exposed timbers, there is an opening at the ceiling between the bedroom and the living room which is the width of the opposing timbers (see photos). You'll enjoy total visual separation between the spaces, but guests in the condo will hear each other. 4 guests is cozy but comfortable, 5 is an absolute maximum.
We intentionally don't have cable / satellite TV, but the condo is equipped with a Roku Smart TV for your all your Amazon, Hulu or Netflix and chill needs.
In addition to the condo, guests have access to the lounge, pool table, fitness center and coin-operated laundry room.
Interaction with guests
I'm always available by phone / text, and am happy to assist with any issues and provide recommendations on dining, outdoor adventures and activities. The condo has maps, guides and local resources, but I can also point guests in the right direction depending on preferences (this usually translates to where the best happy hour is and where the fish are biting).
Other things to note
The Timbers complex was built in the 70's, and has some incredible design features including huge exposed timbers and tongue-in-groove ceilings. It's quirky, rustic, and fun, but it's certainly not brand new. Expect it to look, sound and feel like a log cabin, just one with a modern kitchen and fast WiFi. There's no A/C in the unit, but it stays pretty cool, even in the summer.
The condo is located at 7700 feet in elevation, which means a few things. First, make sure to wear sunscreen. With 1.4 miles less atmosphere between you and the sun, it can be unforgiving.
Second, it snows here in the winter. A lot. It's beautiful and fun. Both the complex management and the city of Steamboat do a fantastic job of snow removal and maintaining the roads, but plan ahead and take it slow. If you're renting a car to get here from the airport, four-wheel drive is highly recommended during the winter months.
Condo is equipped with a full first-aid kit (bathroom drawer), smoke and CO2 detectors, fire extinguisher (left of the fireplace) and Zombie Survival Guide...because, well...zombies.

Hello! We are an active couple from Fort Collins, Colorado. We enjoy good music (especially live), good food and good coffee, being active in the outdoors, and meeting new people. We're pretty awesome road-trippers as well.
We host in our second home in the mountains of Steamboat, and try to make sure every guest feels like we do when we spend time there. We appreciate clean, responsible guests who can be good neighbors and good stewards of the environment.
Life is either an incredible adventure, or it's nothing at all. We choose adventure!
