Solange and Andre could not have done more to make us feel welcome and at home in La Draille. Andre very kindly came and met us in St Julien d'Arpaon to guide us to Le Bouges - what a road! As requested dinner was waiting for us on arrival - wonderful. There was lots of information on activities and maps for surrounding areas, it's an absolute paradise for hikers.

The Cevennes National Park is truly stunning and you get one of the best views of it from Andre & Solange's property. Set very high in the mountains, we loved the remoteness of it and the feeling of getting away from it all. The farmhouse is old (in a good, charming way) but it had all the modern amenities you could want. Andre & Solange made us feel very welcome and it was helpful for Andre to come and meet us at the bottom road as we got a little lost! Thank you for having us and making our stay so seamless.

A wonderful quiet unique location in a small hamlet with amazing views. Solange and Andre are the perfect hosts, so kind and welcoming. They were so helpful and generous when we needed it. Be careful with the drive up to the village but it is worth it and it gets easier each time.

Gîte La Draille was exactly the place we were looking for: a quiet - even in touristic high season - spot in a very small village high in Les Cévennes mountains! Peace, beautiful views and especially: André and Solange were the perfect hosts with their advices, fresh fruits & herbs & vegetables and their great home made dishes. This is an beautiful and authentic place we would advice to everyone loving the mountains and the heart of France.

This place is absolutely unique. It's remote on a hill. The views are spectacular. So if you search for some time to take off, this is the place to go. The house itself has everything you need. The kitchen is well equiped, the bed is comfortable. And everything is in new shape. Only the wifi is a little bit weak. But hey, you're here to relax. Solange and André gave us a very warm welcome. They helped us with the luggage, showed us around and gave us some tips what to do.

I should put a title on this trip: Stairway to Heaven. Well, it was not a stairway but a beautiful yet scarry road and it may have not been Heaven but it was darn close. An amazing place and even more amazing hosts. Andre and Solange alone would have made this trip worthwhile. Add to this great food, great landscape, great water, great place and you get the idea. Do not miss the Thursday marche in Florac. Or, for that matter the Auberge Cévenole just before Florac. A simple place with great food. Make sure you try Solange's tasty and creative cooking. Do not miss the local red wine. All in all a perfect experience. Thank you both.
