We had a wonderful stay at David's cabin. David and Pat were easy to contact, punctual and accommodating. They truly made the experience easy and relaxing. We really appreciate extra little touches such as leaving us firewood, condiments, bottled water, etc.. We would love to stay again!

Great views from a cabin that had everything, and more, that you will need for a great getaway. The kitchen had more appliances than I have at home! Pat welcomed us and we had a lovely stay.

David's home is even more cozy and beautiful in person than the photos depict. It was the perfect location with great accommodations for our family getaway to the mountains. The view from the backyard is incredible and our dog loved the space she had to run around. We will be back for sure!

David and Pat's place was adorable! They were helpful and accommodating and very pleasant.  The cabin offers rustic charm like a clawfoot tub and an outhouse alongside modern amenities, including a shower and dishwasher and Wifi. It's fully stocked with everything you need (including bottled water) so make sure to check in before heading to the grocery store. There is a comfortable living room and a large backyard with a fire pit and grill.  There is a great view of the beautiful Ghost River valley area and only a few neighbors, so you get a great view of the stars. The house is 1 hour from the town of Banff, which is an hour or more from many of the tourist sites in the park, so be sure to fully plan your day before heading out to maximize your time as you may be driving 2-3 hours each way. The drive is scenic so not terrible except at the end of a long day.  Make sure to stop in White Rose in Calgary on your way in from the airport!

As previously mentioned, the house is a bit out of the way from Banff. However, it was a very pleasant stay. David allowed me to bring my three chihuahuas. They were kept in a playpen while I was out. The dogs saw a doe and unfortunately they ran out as I was opening the slide door. One of them was able to get under the fence and chase her. I worried about the steep decline outside of the fenced area, but the dog was okay and the doe happily hopped away in the neighbor's yard. It was great seeing the milky way at night. David was friendly and tried to help me when I arrived by driving to get me some food. Sadly, the store was closed, but the effort was much appreciated. The only minor negative (at least to me) was that he forgot to tell me about some mouse traps. My dog got his tongue trapped in one but luckily, there was no harm done. David was quick to respond to my messages and did apologize about the mouse traps. I tried to put food in them but the bugger kept stealing the food. I even watched it manhandle the trap. It was a bit amusing. However, it did get annoying when the mouse/mice decided to chatter in the master bedroom as it woke me up. LOL. It didn't bother me much as you do live in the country and it should be expected that this could happen. I got over having mice in my motorhome this past winter, so for me, no biggie. If I visit the area again, I may choose to come back to David's..it all depends on how much driving I'm going to do..... I put on quite a lot of miles, but everything was worth it!
