The Starlight Suite!
Comfy and convenient licensed 2 bdrm, family friendly, self-catered separate suite, in my detached house in Coquitlam's sought-after area of Ranch Park. Shared back yard and heated shared seasonal pool (POOL OPEN JUNE THROUGH SEPTEMBER). 5 minute drive to Coq Town Centre mall, shopping, West Coast Express. Near many parks, local lakes, mountains, city, hiking trails, Burrard Inlet, and all amenities!

The space
The Starlight Suite offers a fully-furnished two-bedroom apartment unit or guest suite, with it's own separate entrance in my detached house in a fantastic residential area of Coquitlam. There are two twin beds in one of the bedrooms, and a queen bed in the master bedroom. There is also a double sofa bed in the living room (which isn't pictured). The suite sleeps four comfortably, however, if necessary a roll-away bed is available for an extra person. In a pinch this could sleep 7, but keep in mind that the suite is 730 square feet, so it will be cozy if all the beds are full! There is free high speed internet, just bring your laptop computer.

The living room, with an electric fireplace is open to the fully-equipped kitchen area, and both offer all the amenities of home. There is a full bathroom, plus a shared laundry room area. Also included in your stay, cable television, and a private telephone land line for free local calls. A calling card is necessary if you will be making a long distance call.

There is access to the locked yard, with the large pool. Adult supervision is required for children as there is no supervision provided.

The suite has been extremely popular since 2003 as a great place for persons or families that are between buying and selling homes, vacationing in the area, visiting out of town family and friends, and insurance claims of fire and damage. We are sure you will enjoy your stay!

Guests have access to the entire driveway during their stay. As well, there is a key to the secured backyard with a seasonal pool (POOL OPEN JUNE THROUGH SEPTEMBER) and swing set, which is shared with the owner and her daughter.

Neighbourhood highlights

The Starlight Suite is in a sought after established area of Coquitlam, called Ranch Park. Ranch Park is in East Coquitlam, less than a 4 minute drive to the Coquitlam Centre Mall and many shops and restaurants, the Central Coquitlam transit area, City Hall, and the Skytrain.

The ocean, Port Moody's Burrard inlet is only a 6 minute drive away. Enjoy Rocky Point Park, and many of the area's amenities.

The border of Vancouver is only a 20 minute drive away. Take the transit to the Skytrain and be in downtown Vancouver in 45 minutes, or drive to downtown Vancouver in 40 minutes from the Starlight Suite.

The Starlight Suite is a great base from many areas to visit in the lower mainland and local areas. The USA border is only 1/2 hour away. White Rock is 25 minutes, local ski or viewing mountains are within 35 minutes. Whistler is 2 hours away, and the ferry terminal to visit Vancouver island is 40 minutes away.

I was born and raised in Coquitlam, and love it! I have had 5 children, and although they don't all live with me now (only 1 part time now), they all love this home in Coquitlam and the pool! I had an earlier career in the Hospitality and Tourism industry, and after starting my family, I became a Realtor in the area in 1997. In 2002, I realized that there was a great need for people to have a 'home' and not a hotel when they were moving and between homes. There were only a couple 'vacation rental properties' in all the lower mainland when I started out with the Starlight Suite. I also had a small cottage built in 2004 in Birch Bay, Washington USA, called the Mermaid Hutch. I rented it as a Vacation Rental as well. In 2015 I sold the cottage, which had become a favorite place to stay for many guests. My family and I have been blessed with meeting such wonderful people through the vacation rentals. As pleasurable as the suite is to guests, we enjoy having people as well! Come and stay...I am sure you won't be disappointed. Cory O'Brien
