A great place -- our favorite part was kayaking at high tide, and then seeing the ocean drop by 10 ft at low tide! We recommend Nance's shack for nearby food, the parks of the Harpswell land trust, and all of Marcie's snacks.

Our stay at Marcia's was a little slice of heaven. From the treats, bowls and bug spray (all for our dog) to the organic coffee, and wonderfully decorated space, it was a wonderful retreat. We took advantage of the offering for a private yoga session and were not disappointed. The space is small, but comfortable. It was a wonderful space to simply "let go" for a time. We loved the outdoor shower and loved that it was situated under a roof right next to our door. It ended up being a bigger perk than we had imagined. The entire space is just set up in a very "zen" way. Marcy was available if needed, but we also felt that we had privacy. Convenient location to Portland and Freeport, and the town of Brunswick as well as trails are all convenient. We can't wait to go back.

The property and living space is beautiful and peaceful for sure. The outdoor shower is fantastic! I would not plan on cooking and eating meals there as it's not set up for that. Coffee is wonderful! Marcia is a great host... Very helpful and friendly. It's a perfect place to relax and enjoy the quietness.

Response from Marcia:
Hi Brett and Kristin, So glad you chose to stay here at The Beekeeper's Suite. I see you gave us a 4 star rating and I think this is likely because the Suite does not have a full kitchen. I do include a description of the mini kitchen in the property description and a more detailed description in my initial response to people so as not to create a false expectation. There is a microwave, a mini fridge, a tea boiler, and drip coffee maker. The kitchen comes stocked with silverware, biodegradable dishware, a welcome basket and a lightly stocked mini fridge. When you made the reservation knowing that the Suite did not include a "full kitchen" you asked if we could supply a grill for your use as you were staying for 5 days and would like to prepare some cooked meals. We setup a two burner outside grill. In the end you decided not to use it. I only wish to clarify here as others are reading and I think you rated the place 4 stars instead of 5 for this reason. You were excellent Guests and we would love to have you again. I do pride myself in creating a good experience for people and meeting their individual requests. I am so glad you found the property to be relaxing and quiet. I think the combination of serenity and privacy with such a close proximity to downtown Brunswick makes this a great choice for a vacation or retreat.

This was the perfect location for our stay to attend a wedding in Harpswell, ME. Marcy was extremely helpful and attentive. The place looks just like the pictures and a short drive to the main town, Brunswick. My partner was a first time Airbnb user and he was extremely pleased!

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Beekeeper's house. The place is very quiet, clean and ideally located with a direct access to the cove. The outdoor shower is fun and the room overall pleasant. Marcia was very helpful with my personal requests and very discrete at the same time. For me, the possibility to use a kayak was a big bonus and allowed me to discover the rich wildlife of the cove.
