Alexandros was a great host! Always quick to help and very friendly. The apartment was nice and it was in a good location. There could have maybe been a couple of extra sun loungers because there was a big group of other guests also staying in the apartments and beds were limited. The cleaning service was brilliant.

We had a fantastic time staying at the VillaAlexander. The villa and outside communal areas were spotlessly clean and comfortable and provided excellent value for money. Likewise the pool and terrace was extremely well maintained and clean. Our sheets and towels were changed three times in one week which was great. Good size villa with all the amenities you could need. The kitchen offers plenty of basic cooking equipment which was perfectly fine. There is also a coffee maker. We ate out everyday as there are so many fantastic tavernas in the area. Hairdryer and hand wash, washing up liquid & toilet roll are all provided. Each bedroom is individually air conditioned and the unit works really well. There is also a safe too! Little touches such as tablecloths really made the villa seem friendly and personal. It is clear that Alexandros and the ladies that work at the villa care deeply about their guests stay. The villa is extremely well located, it took us only 15-20 minutes to drive in from the airport and Chania town was only 25 minute drive away. There is a beautiful beach 5 minutes drive up the road and similarly there is a choice of mini markets and supermarkets within very close range. The villa is perfectly placed for visiting everything Western Crete has to offer. Plenty of parking outside the villa. The sea view is beautiful and the terrace was a fantastic place to watch the sunset. Plenty of outdoor seating and sun beds. There was also a clothes drying rack for wet towels and swimming costumes - this is a great touch. Quiet area during the day as there is no traffic. However the aeroplanes that come over the property can be very loud (especially the military jets) but they aren't too frequent. The aeroplanes seem to stop about 11:30pm and start again at 6am (however these can be heard when in the bedrooms). I don't know whether we were extremely unlucky but every night we (sleeping in two bedrooms) were woken up continually by dogs barking en masse. I don't know whether these were strays or pets that are put outside at night but the noise was something to behold. There are a lot of stray dogs in the area. The sound was incredibly loud and appeared to be coming from the open space adjacent to our villa. Unfortunately this happened several times during each night of our stay and really disrupted all of us to the point that on a few nights we hardly slept at all which resulted in us being very tired during the day. I am a very heavy sleeper but the noise was just too much. We all loved the Villa Alexander and everything about it was perfect except the barking dogs that spoilt our experience. We would all come back in a heartbeat and stay at this beautiful place if the dog night barking problem was sorted out.

Just back from a wonderful stay at Villa Alexander. Very friendly welcome from the lovely Selina. Apartment was over 2 floors, really clean and well equipped, Selina and another lady (didn't get her name but she lovely too!) were always around to help. Glorious location right next to the pool with a sea view. Supermarkets and beaches in easy walking distance. Alexandro had helpfully organised transfers for us which was great and meant we didn't have to worry about finding a taxi. We will return!

Myself and my two friends had a wonderful time in this villa. There was one issue with out plumbing in which our downstairs became flooded due to a plant roots growing into the pipes - completely not the host's fault and we was dealt with as soon as we contact them. After 5/10 mins we had been moved to another accommodation (a twin as the one we was in) which was beautiful. Lovely views over the pool and sea in the distance. The rooms were clean and spacious and the hosts were so friendly and left us information we needed, arranged taxi's and told us of some great day trips such as ours to Chania. We had an amazing time in Chania and I would highly recommend visiting there on your visit and seeing the old port. The location of this villa is only 10 mins away from a lovely relaxing beach. There is 2 restaurants in walking distance, everyone is so friendly and we tried both and the food was delicious. Overall we had a lovely time and would highly recommend Alexandros and visiting.

We absolutely loved our time at Villa Alexander! Alexandros was an amazing host and organized a taxi to meet us at the airport, helped us with the bus schedule, and even printed out our air tickets! He was a very attentive host and easily within contact. The staff at apartment were very sweet as well and came in every second day to clean the apartment. The apartment is big, well equipped, and has all the amenities you really need (it has a great view as well!). I would definitely recommended staying here.

The apartment was really great! Very spacious and clean with all the amenities you would want and beautiful sea views. The neighbourhood was quiet which was ideal for us. And the pool is a massive bonus - it's very big and well maintained. Overall, the property is great and I would definitely stay again for longer at this apartment. The host was also very responsive to emails (replied often within less than 24hrs).

This accommodation was a great first stop in Crete after landing late at Chania airport. The room was more like a self contained suite with it's own front door. The fixtures and fitting are a little dated but that didn't bother me to much, it was clean enough and quite large with a lounge space and kitchen (no utensils so don't expect to be able to cook anything) downstairs and two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. I would advise getting good directions before you arrive as I found it tricky to find the first time and I had no phone signal (EE). There is an airforce base on that part of Crete and jets went over a couple of times during the night which were very loud but it didn't bother me that much and the room was cheap so I was happy. Recommended for a short stay in a quiet, friendly area away from the tourists.
