Water – We have provided a water cooler for you convenience. You will receive one jug of water with your stay. After that, you are responsible for your water. A new water filtration system was installed 2016, however if you are not used to drinking country water its best that you stay with bottled. The tap water is sufficient for bathing and dish washing.

Woodstove Fireplace – Please do not use the woodstove fire place.

Linens- dishtowels and dishcloths are provided during your stay along with dish soap. However, NO bedding OR bed linens are provided. Each mattress has a mattress cover, pillows and top cover.

Kitchen- The kitchen is fully stocked with all your needs for your stay. Please remember to clean them prior to your departure

Fireworks- Absolutely prohibited!

Drinking – We all love that cold beer by the lake. But we ask that please do drink responsibly. No one has any fun when someone gets hurt. “Water on the water, beer on the pier”. And please pick up your cans or bottles.

Damage Deposit – The $500 deposit is to cover any costs of repair, cleaning or garbage left behind. Full deposit will be returned within days of departure as long as the cottage is left clean and tidy. If there is damage to the cottage, docking or garbage left behind the $500 will not be given back to you.

Cleaning - There are plenty of cleaning supplies to help with clean up at the end of your stay (Cleaning supplies, garbage bags ext are located in the back pantry outside the washroom). The cottage should be left in a clean, swept condition upon vacating. Just as you found it. Please be considerate as there could be new cottagers coming in right after you. This also means taking any garbage you have accumulated during your stay with you. Please note: there will be a minimum charge of $100 for any garbage left behind.

Septic - The Cottage is on a septic system, we would appreciate no use of feminine toiletries whatsoever as these do not break down in our system. The good ole’ rule is in effect. “Brown, flush it down, Yellow, letter mellow” Also, grease and food debris will clog the system and cause backups. Please dispose of these substances appropriately in the garbage. It is very costly to repair a backup in the septic system.

DVD- Use ‘video source on TV remote to switch to DVD. Explore nature and enjoy the peace of outdoors. Use the DVD on those rainy days. We also have a number of board games that you can enjoy during your stay.

Pets- We could never imagine traveling to the cottage without our pet. Pets are welcome as long as they are well behaved and we are advised prior too arrival. If you bring pets, please clean up and vacuum all hair, fur, etc. Please pick up Poop as well. We recommend you bring a blanket to put on furniture where your pet might lay down. Please ensure your pet does not chew and scratch the wood furniture. If furniture is destroyed by chewing or scratching you will lose your deposit

We would like to remind you Smoking is prohibited inside the cottage!! You will lose your whole damage deposit if cigarette or any recreational drugs are used within the cottage. An ash Tray will be provided in outdoor areas. Please let’s keep our space clean and natural.

The beautiful cottage is located by the lake. The dock is the best part about the house, you can watch sunset and stargaze at night. The house is just how it is shown in the picture with a complete kitchen. Shannon was an excellent host and was flexible with our early check in request. This cottage is recommended for anyone looking to escape the city!
