Our child friendly, 4 bedroom and 3 bath home in the centre of Enfield has just been newly refurbished.
There is an open plan kitchen and dining area (with new appliances and an American style fridge) which opens onto our sunny garden. The garden has areas where adults and families can sit and relax as well as an area designed just for the children with a large trampoline and an adventure play house. Just off of the kitchen is a downstairs cloakroom and a well-stocked playroom with many toys and games for young children. Our living room boasts a working fire which makes it feel particularly cozy in the winter months. Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms. The master suite is on the 2nd floor of the property and contains an en-suite shower room. On the first floor of our home are 2 double bedrooms, a child’s bedroom and the family bathroom. We have off road parking at the front of the house.
Enfield is a leafy, family friendly area on the outskirts of London, a perfect base to explore London from whilst being able to escape to the relative peace of Enfield.
This lovely semi-detached house is in a quiet neighbourhood. There are 2 train stations (Gordon Hill and Enfield) within a 10 minute walk, from which you can go direct into King’s Cross in Central London in just 30 minutes. This is a great spot to explore London from. If public transport isn’t your thing than an Uber cab into central London will cost approximately £30. Finally of you prefer to travel by car, Enfield is very well connected with links to the M25 and North Circular.
There are a number of restaurants and shops within walking distance of the house. There are also a number of beautiful walks leading to a range of interesting places including Forty Hall; a stunning Grade 1 listed manor house dating back to the 1620s. This is now a museum of life in the 17th Century and hosts regular events in the gardens such as family days, concerts and workshops. Hilly Fields Public Park is just a 3 minute walk away where there are often events and music festivals taking place. The local pub is the Rose & Crown. It was once owned by the grandparents of the legendary highway man Dick Turpin until around 1752 and it’s reputed that Dick Turpin used the Inn as a hideout. Now it is a fine example of an English Country pub. A warm, welcoming atmosphere awaits you with home cooked food and an extensive array of fine wines and cask ales. Its garden is a great place to relax with Sunday lunch being a speciality.
