Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
A 5 minute level walk to beautiful Oxwich Bay which leads to Three Cliffs Bay.
It is a short drive to all of Gower's beaches,woodlands and beauty spots.
You can walk to the Michelin Star Beach House restaurant and Oxwich Bay Hotel.
It is 20 minute drive to The Mumbles with its boutique shopping, Pier and Castle.
Our apartment is perfect for a relaxing getaway and activities such as SUP boarding,kayaking
walking, running, swimming and take a Sauna at Ty Sauna on Oxwich beach after.

The space

Outside there is a small private garden with table and chairs.
There is a double bed in bedroom.
Shower room with easy access.
Vodaphone,EE and O2 have good mobile phone reception.
There are maps and walking guides of the area and guide books for you to use.

Neighbourhood highlights

The Apartment is on a village lane with views to the front of a field and friendly resident horses.
Oxwich village has a beautiful 13th century church and also has its own Castle.
The village is a well known holiday destination due to it’s wonderful location, nature reserve and the long sandy beach of Oxwich Bay and Three Cliffs Bay
WHERE TO EAT
BEACH HOUSE RESTAURANT
The Beach House restaurant is located on Oxwich beach and has 1 Michelin Star and 3 AA Rosettes. I recommend that you book early.
OXWICH BAY HOTEL
The Oxwich Bay Hotel which was a former rectory is child friendly and allows dogs. It serves food and drink every day, hosts weddings and has sea views when you sit outside.
BEACH SHOPS
There are 2 beach shops on Oxwich Beach owned by the Penrice Estate.
The larger of the shops has been renovated and now has a seating area inside and serves hot food all day including breakfast rolls and Pizza.
Both shops sell ice creams, coffees, hot and cold food such as fish and chips, fish finger rolls and wraps to take away and there are seating areas outside the both shops to eat if weather permits.
Both the shops sell buckets and spades, beach toys,sun hats, sun lotion etc.
THE DUNES
The Dunes is opposite the car park on the right hand side as you drive into Oxwich it is open during the spring and summer months usually closing after October half term.
The Dunes is a small friendly supermarket and Fish and Chips shop.
It sells Ice Cream has beach toys, SUP Boards, Body Boards, wet suits, sun hats,beach shoes, sun screen and lots of gifts to take back after your holiday.
ACTIVITIES
Oxwich Water Sports offers a full range of water activities and training for all ages.
Gower Coast adventures is also situated on Oxwich Beach and gives guided tours of the beautiful Gower Coast it is an unforgettable experience.
There is now a Sauna on the beach called TySauna which is very popular and open early in the morning perfect after a swim in the colder months.
There are beautiful walks on the beach, salt marshes and woodlands for exploring.
PETROL STATION
The nearest petrol station is Knelston Garage which also has a small supermarket is a 10 minute drive from the apartment. It is on the route to Rhossilli Bay, Horton and Port Eynon.

Hi, I am Debbie married to Lyn who helps me with the Airbnb. I work part time as a Health Visitor in Mumbles. My husband Lyn has retired and enjoys walking our dog Vinnie on Oxwich beach and he does a lot of the running around with our daughter. We both enjoy spending time walking,gardening, holidays and when we have time going to cinema and for meals with our friends. We have loved the Airbnb experience and met lovely people along the way.
