A modern luxury apartment built in 2014. Lovely comfy lounge with patio door to sunny balcony and great countryside views.

The apartment is within 20 minutes downhill walking distance of the Cathedral city centre and close to public transport, train station, supermarkets, hospital and other local amenities. The apartment also benefits from ample parking and an eating pub (County Arms) across the road.

The space

A modern luxury apartment built in 2014 situated on the A390 into Truro city centre. Lovely comfy lounge with patio door to sunny balcony and great countryside views. The property has a well appointed kitchen plus a washing machine and dryer housed in a separate utility room along with wc. Also included are free wifi , smart flat screen television, towels and Egyptian cotton bed linen. To the rear is a flat lawn area ideal for drying washing, sunbathing and barbequing.

This modern apartment is tastefully decorated with two double ensuite bedrooms. Bedroom one has a King size bed, fitted wardrobe and ensuite facilities including bath, shower, wash hand basin and wc. Bedroom two has twin beds which can easily be adapted to a Super King size bed and again has a fitted wardrobe. This room also benefits from an ensuite shower room with wash hand basin and wc. There is also a bed settee in the lounge.

The whole apartment is light and airy with a very modern lounge suite, occasional tables and smart flat screen tv. The open plan living area also contains a dining room suite and a state of the art kitchen in high white gloss which comprises built in cooker, ceramic hob and extractor, fridge/freezer, microwave oven, dish washer, waste disposal unit and drawer housed ironing board.

Heating and hot water is via an air source heat pump system.

Plenty of parking

Miscellaneous - Beach towels are not provided. Lost keys £50.

Interaction with guests

The hosts live in another apartment within the same building so are on hand for any enquiries. If they are out, just a phone call away on (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) or contactable by (EMAIL HIDDEN)

Other things to note

As well as visiting the above resorts, there is a watersports centre at nearby Loe Beach where it is possible to hire kayaks, paddle boards and speedboats.
Just down the road from the apartment is Malpas with its famous Heron eating pub and ferry to Falmouth and St. Mawes (not tide dependant).

There are lots of coastal/countryside walks and close by there is bike riding (hire available) with lots of different off-road routes.

Truro and Falmouth offer superb bar/restaurant venues, arts, theatre and culture. There are a lot of independent shops, supermarkets, restaurants, golf courses, theatre, cinemas, bowling alley, art galleries and museums. Truro also offers a farmer’s market every Wednesday on Lemon Quay which also plays host to many events throughout the year. Dominated by the stunning Cathedral, Truro is one of the south west’s most attractive cities and is an excellent year round destination with plenty of activities for all ages.

Towards Lands End is Porthcurno with the Minack Theatre (open air) This is highly recommended and a programme of events can be accessed on their website.

The accommodation is very good and Gail was a warm and generous host. The cream tea and wine were a lovely touch. 5 of us stayed and there was plenty of space. We happily recommend Foxwood!

Beautiful modern apartment on the outskirts of Truro - the pictures don't do it justice! Plenty of space and a balcony as an added bonus. Conveniently located 5 minute walk from the train station and 20 minutes from the centre of town. Perfect hospitality from the host, Gail.

We loved our stay at Foxwood. It had everything we needed, including washing machine and tumble. We even had our own parking space. With 2 teenagers, I really appreciated the wifi. Everything was beautifully clean. Such a nice place to come back to each day. Thanks Gail.

Gail and Steve were lovely hosts, and their home was the perfect location for travelling around Cornwall. It was clean, fresh and well decorated with all the amenities you could wish for; washer, dryer, disposal unit, fridge/freezer, coffee machine/kettle, toaster, stove, oven, microwave, and BBQ. We stayed as a party of two couples so Gail and Steve had setup the twin room as a superking. The beds were firm and super comfortable which was much needed after our long adventures around Cornwall during the day. With Aldi and Sainsbury's within a 5 min walk away, purchasing food was a breeze. An added bonus was the County Arms literally opposite the apartment. I don't recommend the curry night on Tuesdays though, it's a buffet -styled curry night which was not great, however the atmosphere was lovely there especially in their large beer garden! During the evenings the road works outside the apartment was a bit noisy, especially as we had the windows opened as it was hot. Nothing you could do about this though, but it looked like it was almost done when we left! In terms of location, everything from Lands End, to St. Ives, to Newquay, to Eden Project was under an hour away in a car. We didn't use public transport but we did see the bus stop outside the apartment and the train station was a 5-10min walk away. This was our first experience of both Cornwall and AirBnb, and we 100% will be visiting Cornwall and using AirBnb again. We highly recommend visiting Cornwall whilst staying at Gail and Steve's apartment. Thanks Gail and Steve, it's been a pleasure! Foxwood is a lovely apartment. Full self catering facilities supplied with the added bonus of a washing machine and dryer. Netflix on the TV was also brilliant, especially for keeping our daughter entertained. The accommodation was clean and well maintained. Truro is a lovely little city in itself and fairly centrally located for day trips to other areas of Cornwall. The accommodation itself is set back on one of the main roads in and out of Truro, but very minimal traffic noise. The city centre and train station are walkable and there is a bus stop right outside. There is also and Aldi 3 doors down and a large Sainsbury's just off the roundabout. Gail was a lovely host and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would highly recommend this accommodation!

This house is centrally situated to access both North and South beaches and villages in Cornwall. It is within walking distance to supermarkets, shops and restaurants. The accommodation is high standard, new and spotless clean. It has nice views from the ample windows too. We had a very comfortable stay thanks to this and to the lovely Gail and Steve who are really the perfect hosts, thank you!
