Welcome to the Two Sisters - the perfect base for your unforgettable New Orleans adventures. Nestled between the French Quarter and City Park: stroll or bike to NOMA, cafes, shops, bars, restaurants, & more. 2 bikes included - go explore this magical city!

Beautifully furnished with an eye toward comfort and convenience: fairy-tale fourposter queen bed with *amazingly comfy* memory foam mattress, put your feet up with a cold drink and watch the sunset on a covered porch like a local!

The space

Our home is a classic shotgun built in the early 1930's. You have a completely private and secure front entrance, a front porch (set up with furniture to enjoy the afternoons & have a glass of something cold), a sunny living room, a calming bedroom, and shared bathroom. Mini fridge, microwave, hot water heater/coffeemaker, and utensils are provided.

Immerse yourself in the glories of this historic house: with many charming original features, such as hardwood floors, beautiful French doors, and best of all - enjoy a soak in the lovely large clawfoot tub.

Coffee, tea, cold bottled water are provided, as well as soap, shampoo, conditioner and towels, and first aid supplies. The all 13" memory foam queen mattress in the master bedroom is soft yet firm. You will get a great night of rest here! The pillows provided are hypoallergenic. The living room can be used as a second bedroom: the sofa is long enough to stretch out on, and converts to a queen size bed. The Two Sisters is a centrally located, clean and comfortable base from which you can explore this magical city.

We live in the other side of the apartment, which has an independent entrance at the back of the house and is separated by a locked door. The front two rooms are 100% yours for the duration of the stay; bathroom is shared.

Guest access

Enter through private covered porch/sitting area to your private living room(or bed room) with kitchenette/dining area, french doors open to your bedroom with two sitting areas, and fourposter antique rice bed, and dresser. Your lockable bedroom door opens to a shared hallway and the bathroom.

It was a great pleasure staying at El and Lou's place. Really cool vibe, clean and comfortable beds. They were really flexible and cool people and offered us some good advice about New Orleans. Enjoyed using their bikes, riding up and down Esplanade Ave to the French Quarter. Superb air con and bathroom facilities.

What a great place! You get a whole side of a shotgun house to yourself with your own entrance, so there is a lot of privacy. It is easy to get around the city from their place which is pretty centrally located. Public transportation is close by. Although I didn't use the bike during this trip I really thought it was cool and appreciated having access to them. It is a space where you can entertain friends, during non quite hours of course LOL. The bed is incredibly comfortable. The decor of the home really let you know that you're in New Orleans, it's really cool. Check in was a breeze and communication was excellent. This listing will help you enjoy your stay even more in New Orleans.

El was a fantastic host who was more than happy to ensure that we got the most out of our stay. She is very friendly, responsive, and helpful! The accommodations were very clean and comfortable. Even though this is a shared stay, the layout makes it seem as though it were a private house. We would return in a heartbeat!

This was the first time I ever interacted with an air bnb host. We were a little timid at first not sure what to expect...but oh. my. goodness. TALK TO EL. INVITE HER TO LUNCH. GO ON A WALK. GET EARLY MORNING COFFEE WITH HER. Because she is the best!!! She took us to get the best fried chicken ever from a tiny gas station. She took us to her favorite coffee shop. She recommended cool places, and she even gave us a tour of city park. She is hilarious!!!!!!! All it takes is asking to hang out. That was probably our best experience in NOLA, and it made us want to move there. There is more to drinking in NOLA--there are friends and amazing people who just want to make sure you stay away from Bourbon Street. We'll see you soon hopefully, we miss you!!!! Also your house is beautiful and the air conditioning was everything I ever needed.

Such a great spot! Beautifully decorated, true Nola feel & charm for days. Set up in a way that facilitates true relaxation, great conversational space. Not one but TWO air conditioners for max climate control, coffee/tea station provided, good water pressure & user friendly temp control in the bath. Best of both worlds- total privacy & separate entrance with the reassurance that if there should be a problem, your host is just a wall's knock away. The house is just steps from Esplanade- one way leads to City Park, the other to Frenchmen St. & the Quarter. Healthy walks, about 15 min to the quarter, but so much to see along the way! If you're feeling lazy- most attractions are a >$10 Lyft away. The neighborhood is very quiet & everyone I encountered was very friendly. Easy to feel like a local here. I have to admit, in a space like this it's tempting to stay in..... it's just perfectly cozy. Lou & El are so helpful & personable & have great suggestions- if you've got questions, don't be shy! I'll definitely rebook again. My 2 lady friends were totally enchanted & it made me very proud as the 'booker' so THANK YOU Lou & El for making me look good! Xoxo!

This was such a great place to stay! It's festive and comfortable with a very accommodating host. The location is super convenient to Uber from and probably would be great to bike downtown from had it been a little sunnier outside while we were in town. We had a wonderful girls getaway weekend here!

Lou & El User ProfileLou & El is a superhost.

We are sisters and grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. We've lived in Nevada, Washington D.C., New York, New Orleans, Canada and southern Italy, and soon, Philadelphia. Because of this, cultures and people from all places in the world are welcome in our home. We love art, travel, dance, music, film, nature, food and photography.

New Orleans is a an actively social city of enthusiasm, flow, creativity and timelessness - a rabbit hole of the unique, raw and beautiful. It's important to share our home and its history with fellow travelers. There really is something for everyone! In the words of Robert Frost, we always encourage guests to take the road "less traveled by" - you will have a great time here in a mixed and diverse environment.

As hosts, we live literally under the same roof. We're here, but tend to give guests space and room to do their own thing.
