Cosy self contained studio for two near the centre of St Agnes. Own entrance, private garden space, ensuite shower & mini kitchen with combi microwave/oven. Super kingsize/twin beds so great for couples or sharers. Close to pubs restaurants & bakeries. 15 minwalk to the nearest beach. Breakfast goodies include bread, cereal, marmalade, tea, coffee and plant/nut milk of your choice. Everything offered is vegan so take advantage of the treats offer, or just use the space as a base. All welcome.

The space
The studio is attached to our house but feels quite separate because of its own entrance and private little garden just behind it.

Guest access
Access is through our rear garden gate in Goonvrae Road. It's immediately on the left as you leave the mini roundabout, the first gate you come to and is accessible by six steps. There is a "Planted" sign on the wall by the gate.

Other things to note
You don't have to be vegan to stay here. We welcome everyone, and have so far had a wide range of guests. Some are not vegan just use us as a base and eat out. Others make full use of the little kitchen and breakfast pack. Typical breakfast items included are bread/crumpets, cereals, jam, spread, tea coffee and oat/soya milk. Please let us know if there's a particular i.e. plant/nut milk that you'd prefer, or if you have any food allergies. There is a toaster, kettle, fridge and a combination/microwave oven.

St Agnes is VERY vegan friendly. There several places to eat in the village including pubs, bistros and takeaway pizza. There are two bakeries in the village that sell vegan pasties, and can also pre order cakes from littlegreenveganbakery@gmail.com Churchtown fruit and veg is great for fresh produce, and also stocks a wide range of teas, nuts pulses and chocolate! The sorting office is a cool little coffee shop with lots of vegan options including cake flapjacks and raw cakes. Q cafe and Genki are two great spots on the way to the beach for breakfasts and lunches.

Porthtowan has a stunning beach and is home to The Eco Collective. This is a vegan shop/cafe which sells everything from delicious pasties and cakes to pottery cards refills and more! It’s a short drive away, or you can hop on the bus (more frequent in the holiday season).

Truro is just a bus ride away and here you will find the award winning Cornish Vegan Cafe (open Tuesday to Saturday), and Archie Browns cafe and health food shop ( Monday to Saturday). There are other cafes too numerous to mention. Ask pizza now has a dedicated menu with three courses and vegan beers/wines, this is located close by to the cinema.

The studio has been sympathetically restored. We have pointed and rendered the walls with lime, and have used reclaimed boards on the floor. The original beams in the roof have been exposed. The water and heating is supplied via the solar panels in the roof, and our biomass (wood pellet) boiler.

We don't have parking directly outside of the property, but free on street parking is available within a couple of minutes walk on Goonvrae Road.

St Agnes, England, United Kingdom

St Agnes has a wonderful community feel with events throughout the year, including our very own Giant Bolster weekend in April, Street fair in May, the carnival in August and various other events throughout the year. If you’re a fan of live music the this is the place for you. There is music in the village on most Thursday and Saturday nights, and an open mic/jam at the Driftwood Spars pub on the first and third Sunday of each month from around 4pm

There are cafes and shops and traditional pubs, one of which has its own micro brewery. We have two grocery shops, three bakery's (one of which is vegan) and a couple of green grocers. The pubs and restaurants in the village are really embracing veganism and we now find ourselves spoilt for choice when it comes to eating out.

There are also several galleries, gift shops and a museum. There are weekly drop in yoga, art classes and a film club.

St Ives, Falmouth and Penzance are all within an hour of St Agnes, and have vegan cafes/options aplenty.
