The house is non-smoking, but smokers needn't worry! The large garden area is smoker-friendly and also contains a hammock, chairs and a farmhouse dinner table for your enjoyment.

While we live in a secure area, as with all travel destinations, we recommend storing your valuables in the safe provided. At check-in, we will show you how to set your own personal security code, known only to you during your stay.

Although we love animals, pets are not permitted.

Joshua was a perfect host! He was communicative and kind and gave me some great recommendations for the town. The flat was very charming and very conveniently located. The bed is lovely and I had several nights of restful sleep. Really loved the hammock in the front yard. Thanks again Joshua!

joshua was helpful inciteful always on hand to answer any questions. Suggested great things to see and do and agencies to book with, full of little restaurant and bar recommendations. Allowed us to use the pool and facilities of the sister hotel on the day of check out up until our transfer to the airport. The sofa bed in the living room is a tad hard, but else the apartment is simple bohemian and precisely what you need, plus a lovely outdoor area to sit and a little local shop opposite for emergencies like water. The beach is a good twenty minute cycle away so be prepared to do this or hire a car.

Just spent 4 days in Tulum and Joshua was the perfect host, as soon as we arrived he showed us all the best places to eat and visit, all which were fantastic. The house was amazing, clean and perfect for our stay! It's in a lovely residential area and everything is within a few minutes walk and the beach a short taxi ride away!

The house was amazing, the location amazing and the host Joshua, amazing! I really couldn't of asked for more. He was really helpful as it was my first time in Mexico. Told me places to go, to avoid, where to eat, where the locals eat, just so much valuable info for a 1st timer like me. The little green house is lovely with a charming interior and exterior. The pics don't do it justice. Glad I had it for 2 weeks.

We are so glad we stayed at Joshua’s little casita in town instead of at a beach resort, as we were able to shop and cook on our own, meet a few neighbors and local taxi drivers, and overall gain a more intimate knowledge of the area and it’s people, while saving some money. It’s a very short and affordable taxi ride (or walk) to any of the surrounding restaurants, beaches, and cenotes. The main Avenida Tulum is roughly 6 blocks away. Up and down the street, you can find every kind of food/drink and knick knack (most for a very fair price). Nearing the resorts on the beach (80-100 peso/ $5 usd taxi ride), there are also many more great (more expensive) places to eat and buy wares, and of course the beaches are absolutely gorgeous! Joshua was on holiday when we first arrived in Tulum, but we got to meet and chat with him quite a bit when he returned. He gave us some great advice about places to go in the future (we had already gone on a few adventure tours and explored some ruins/cenotes by the time he got back), he also gave us some very important info regarding buying Duty Free tequila vs. buying in town (very important xD haha). Overall Joshua, his co-workers Itzel and Matias from Secret Gardens, and this sweet little “Casita Verde” made for an amazing and relaxing part of our vacation in Tulum. We miss it already!!!

Joshua and Chelsea are super knowledgeable about where to go and what to do in Tulum. They gave us excellent tips and directions. The secret garden apartment is perfect for two and tucked away in a nice neighborhood walking distance from downtown:)

Joshua was very easy to communicate with and was very welcoming when we arrived. He lives next door. Very helpful with ideas for restaurants and cenotes to go to for swimming. The house was in a good neighbourhood for walking to restaurants and shopping. We were able to get info from the hotel owned by Joshua for tours and ride to the airport.
