Fairbanks is a lively, interesting community with lots to do all year round. We live in a wonderfully diverse, suburban neighborhood not far from the University and on the bus line which can take you downtown or up to the University. You will stay in our small but cheery guest room with a private bath in the hall. We are used to sharing our space so you can expect a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

My husband, Jim and I have lived in Alaska for over forty years, first in the bush for 12 years where our son was born and then in Fairbanks where we raised him. Jim is a semi-retired documentary photographer of village life, Antarctica, and even the original Selma March. I have retired from itinerant work in early childhood education, mostly with Head Start programs in the bush. We love reading, the arts, travel, camping in our tiny trailer, and film. Jim loves science and I love to make art and writing. We are connected with the University and Arts communities in Fairbanks.
