We didn't stay long enough to be able to truly appreciate the place one way or another. I can tell you the area was quiet, the beds were comfortable, the shower hot and the water in the fridge appreciated. The bedrooms are connected and separated from each other using a curtain. They were also separated from the main area using curtains. For us, completely not a problem. For others who prize their privacy this may not work for you.

Robert's place was great and it was everything he said it would be. It was nice and clean and all the items he said would be there were there when we checked in, such as linens, towels, etc. Robert allowed us to bring our dogs, which was great, and they had a great time there, just like we did. The location is easily accessible to Chincoteague, VA or Ocean City, MD and makes a good point to stay in between these two locations. The neighborhood was very quiet, and the neighbors were very nice. Robert has set up the place to accommodate a lot of people, but the house is so large that I don't think anyone would feel cramped! Robert accommodated an unexpected travel glitch when our car broke down, and could do not do enough to help us out however he could and help make our vacation special. We would definitely stay at Robert's house again! Thanks Robert!

Great host and works well with guests. [Do not unplug anything he has plugged to any outlets] could disable his security system and thats a no go.

We booked Robert's home for 3 nights. Several days before check in, I contacted him saying we might need to cancel the first night (I was unexpectedly called to work for that day), and although we wouldn't be opposed to still going that night, it would be early morning (about 3 am) until we could get there. He graciously agreed to let us come that late. He had a lock box and could just give us the code. This was our first AirBnB and I didn't realize that we're contacted on our private cell also. Robert had left a message in my voicemail that I didn't receive, and I couldn't retrieve it later on ( I actually may have deleted it since I didn't recognize the number, I really don't know). Through some miscommunication and possibly my tiredness, and misunderstanding the messages on AirBnB he left, I wound up setting off his security alarm when entering the residence. I did send a message the next morning sincerely apologizing and saying I was looking forward to meeting him (he never responded to this message, nor did we ever meet), but I believe this got us off on the wrong foot. In the days that followed I felt that he had excessive communication with us (31 messages), about turning lights out, the correct place to put the trash pail (we did not move it), and, we had unplugged an unmarked outlet that controlled his security system. This outlet is located right next to the king bed in the main bedroom and I feel it should have been marked so we would have been more careful. He did have other notes around the home that we found extremely helpful to fulfill his expectations of keeping his home in order. On our last day his security system went down again and I felt from his messages he was annoyed at us about this, but this time it was just a malfunction as all of the plugs were in properly. I did answer his messages as soon as I recieved them, but because I was on vacation, I wasn't monitoring AirBnB constantly., especially not very early morning when we were sleeping. The home is very nice, clean, and well kept. We did try hard to adhere to Robert's house manual and left his home in as good condition as when we arrived. The area is beautiful and we had a wonderful time exploring it. It could be that Robert was just not a good fit for us, or as new AirBnB'ers we have some things to learn.
