Description

The space

La Maddalena is probably one of the most beautiful island in the world. Pink rocks and sands and turquoise water are the characteristics of its beaches.
The apartment is located in the old village but in a very quiet area, aside the traffic of the port. It is very comfortable, perfect for a family. It is composed of a double bed room a large living room with an intermediate floor with 2 single beds. The kitchen is very spatious. The windows face a very quiet garden with ancient palms. At the port is possible to rent a boat and visit the island of the archipelago.

La Maddalena is such a beautiful place and we had the most wonderful time there. The apartment was perfect. Very open and light with a great kitchen and even a tv to watch the World Cup! The beds are quite hard and it's a bit of a walk up from the town but good to walk off all the amazing food! Lia was available by phone for any queries and she gave us great recommendations for food and drink. If you visit you must hire bikes and travel around the island and hire a boat to visit nearby islands. A truly fantastic experience overall.

It was lovely staying at Lia's! Lia was very communicative and helpful, and even left fresh figs in front of our door one evening. The apartment stays airy even during hot days, and is equipped with everything you need, including beach towels, umbrellas and a washing machine. We would gladly stay here again!

Lia's flat was a good base for our holiday. It was simple but had style. We very much enjoyed our stay on La Maddalena. We always travel without a car - the flat being within easy walking distance of all our requirements was ideal. The beaches were good and all accesible by bus, especially Bassa Trinita which is backed by sand dunes and has exceptionally clear water. The centre of the old town overlooked by the church is the best place in the evenings. It has a fantastic ice cream shop and a relaxed and quirky bar I Vitelloni which often had live music. We never tried it in the end as the supermarket (Dettori market) had lots of fresh seafood, but the restaurant Il Gotto smelt delicious.

This was a lovely stay in La Maddalena in a house that is a bit secluded from the buzz. Our host gave us great instructions and communicated ahead of our trip. The house was clean and we were even given a little welcome treat. No complaints whatsoever except to say that the single beds mattresses are a lil hard on our backs and the daily recycling is a bit of a mission but understandable. I would recommend this place for sure, Thanks!!

Beautiful apartment, really big and more than enough room to comfortably fit three friends. La madallena is beautiful, though having a car is most definitely the best way to travel. Would def travel again.

We stayed at Lia's apartment for four nights and had a great time! It is in a great location, in a quiet part of the neighborhood, but in easy walking distance to the ports and restaurants. There is a supermarket very close that was nice to have for groceries. The overall apartment we found to be quite spacious. We definitely recommend that people rent a zodiac boat at the port to be able to explore the other islands!

As everybody has mentioned in previous reviews we also found Lia to be very helpful and informative before and during our holiday. The flat as described was basic but very clean and had most things you would need ie. bed linen, beach towels, beach umbrella, maps etc... The uphill location of the apartment became a bit laborious as the week went on, mainly due to the heat and tiredness of a long days excursion to the beautiful beaches. The apartment is generally quiet, however a few very noisy cars and motorbikes zoom pass through the night. We stayed in La Maddalena for a week and found the area stunning, the beaches were second to none and would really recommend you to do one of the small day tours, available from the port (we took the Maggior Leggero-Colorado which was brilliant, lovely staff and a great captain Davide). A few beaches are accessible by a short bus ride (we took photo on our mobile of the timetables and followed it). If you are up for a trek take bus to Caprera and visit Cala Serana (as recommened by Lia) truly beautiful! After a scorching day finish off with one of the amazing ice creams on offer I loved the lemon one.
