Our cool, spacious 200sqm apartment is a live in museum for contemporary art and the perfect place to dwell in central Copenhagen. Located in the "Marylebone" of Copenhagen, neighbour to the Citadel, the harbour and in walking distance from Kongens Nytorv and the best restaurants. Walking distance from airport train

The space

Spacious turn of the century 200sqm "parisian style" apartment with extensive contemporary art collection. Known from interior magazines like Elle Decor Italia, Elle Decor Korea, RUM and Scandinavian Traveler!

2 double bedrooms / 1 bathroom / separate toilet / nice carpenter build kitchen / large dining room / large living room / large study / balcony.

Expect to "stay in". Even though you are just at the edge of the city center, it is extremely peaceful here and the apartment is such a pleasant bohemian adventure, with all it's details, that it is tempting to just stay at home with a good bottle of wine from one of the local wine shops.

The neighborhood is the "Marylebone" of Copenhagen. Extremely peaceful even though it 5 minutes walk to the city center. Located next to The Citadel (the park like fortress Kastellet", Esplanaden with all it's lovely restaurants and the harbourfront a few minutes walk away the location is second to none. The neighbourhood has several wine shops, four Michelin starred restaurants within walking distance, and several "Bib Gourmand" restaurants in the area.

Nearest train station is Østerport Station (less than five minutes walk) and Kongens Nytorv Metro Station can be reached within ten minutes walk.

It is an apartment with extremely good karma and the decor, art collection and library makes it absolutely unique.

Cheated me he had no car. Dusty everywhere and only the photos were good to attract people. But when checked in, he told you all the arts are expensive and weak. We can't touch anything. He didn't do cleaning before we checked in and the room was dirty and smelly. This is the worst place I have lived in Dk.

Response from Peter:
I have tried to accomodate Lily and her collegues in the best possible way, and even did some grocery shopping for them beforehand, as a welcome, but my best guess is that her malicious review reflects that she doesn't want to pay for the items that she and her guests destroyed in my house, and hope all my other reviews below reflect a different impression of my house. I am very confused about how she would get the idea that I could pick her up by car, as I don't own a car. Neither did I ever promise her to pick her up by the station, but explained her beforehand what the easiest transport would be, including the nearest train station which is 5 min walk away. There isn't a meeting point at the station, as it is under renovation, so I said it would be best to meet at the house. My house was perfectly clean when they arrived, but really took some extra cleaning after they left. For your reference, here is the review I left for Lily, which might give you a fuller picture of the whole booking: Communication was slightly difficult and my guess is that this was Lily's first Airbnb booking as she had some expectations to the booking and me as host that I haven't previously encountered: After booking, Lily demanded that I had all equipment ready for cooking. I tried to explain what standard equipment I have, but she never got back to me if she had certain items in mind. In the day up to the arrival she requested several times that I should pick her up across town at a hotel, because her suitcase was heavy. I don't own a car, and don't offer a pick up service, so this was a difficult demand to meet. I several times suggested for her to book a taxi, but she persisted in her demand that I should pick her up at the hotel or the station to carry her suit case. Once arrived at the apartment, she was dissatisfied with the size of the beds, and demanded a larger one. I tried to explain that the beds are fully described and documented in my listing. Same situation with the seating around the television. After their first day here, she asked me to fix a heater in the apartment, which I did. Usually heating first works from 1st of October in most buildings in Copenhagen, but luckily it had been turned on in my building, just some days before their arrival. When fixing I noticed that her group had taken a large artwork down from a shelf. Even though my house rules are quite thorough, I went through the rules with her. One of the rules is that you are not allowed to touch the art works. I don't think it is a very strict rule to impose. None the less, I came home to two artworks that had been torn down from the wall, and had their frames highly damaged (nothing she had informed me of). My best guess is that Lily or her friends have hanged clothes from the the art works and accidently ripped them down from the wall, as I found hangers left hanging on furniture and strange places around the house as well as on most floors, and most disturbing a pair of panties on a hanger, hanged on my collectors Gerrit Rietveld ceiling lamp. Lastly, Lily and her friends, left a kitchen that was a big mess, with several dirty pans, old food on the table, trash etc. Besides that used napkins on the floor around the house. Overall, not a memorable air bnb experience, and I hope that she and her friends next time will book a hotel that lives up to their service level.

Staying at Peter's home is like staying in a fine art gallery. There is incredible inspiration all around. Check in was great, and he was available and made sure we had everything we needed.

Peter couldn't have been nicer or more generous a host. He even left us a bottle of champagne for new years. His art collection is world class, and it takes a special person to trust strangers to stay in the midst of it. The location is top, and everything worked fine. I have one caveat about this place, which is that it smells really strongly of stale cigarette smoke. It is probably my fault for not noting that smoking is allowed.

Peter was a most gracious, attentive and responsive host. Staying in his apartment which was filled with amazing artwork was just as described - "a spacious, live-in contemporary art museum", wonderfully curated with a fascinating array of art pieces, it was, indeed, hard to leave. The "pre-war" apartment, with high ceilings and decorative details on the ceilings was in itself a joy to stay in. But the amenities were most modern(URL HIDDEN) I would recommend all to give it a try and am looking forward to returning just to repeat the experience of staying in the apartment!
