The space

Located right in Penticton as Airbnb search also includes Summerland/Kelowna which is FAR from Penticton.
Flexible about check -in coming earlier - ask me please.
Penticton 34,000 pop. with 100,000 visitors on weekends.
Safe neighborhood. (It's Canada after all and a smaller town.)
Your bedroom is upstairs, bathroom is upstairs too. Additional bathroom main floor.
Access your own private balcony. My place is located within walking distance of the beach - with lots of peace and quiet.
You can hear the frogs and crickets at night on the golf course from your balcony!!
You do not necessarily want to stay right on the beach - as it is pretty noisy with the hotel and tons of motels.
Three bedroom townhouse on two floors. Bathrooms up and down.

Guest access

Parking at your front door.
Shared fridge.
I value cleanliness. All pillow cases, sheets, towels etc. are thoroughly washed between each guest.
Fans and place stays cool.
Your own personal coffee machine.
Hair Dryer.
Regular towels/wash clothes. Beach Towel.
Free snacks!
Access your own private balcony for reading or sipping wine or your morning coffee which you can brew in your own room.
There is also a large patio off main floor living room.

If you arrive without a car and stay for two nights - will do my best to give you a half hour tour in my car!!

Interaction with guests

I can definitely recommend where to eat as well as wineries to visit, grocery stores to shop in - and where to see live music. I am a world traveler. I speak some French. I am pretty active with bike riding, swimming and hiking. Love to read, watch movies and cook for friends.
My religion is kindness. My home is quiet and open to ALL.

Other things to note

Bring sun hats and sun screen. Water bottles. No need to buy water - it's great right from the tap! If you have a bike - you can lock it in my fenced yard or leave inside in the hallway.

Susan is one of the most interesting, kind and wonderful hosts I have ever met. She is very knowledgeable of the local area and gives lots of good tips and advice. The house is perfect and the room comfortable and clean. For UK guests Pencticton is a beautiful place, wonderful climate and worth a visit in the Summer or Winter. I am already missing Susan and her porridge (oatmeal!) x

Very convenient. Very good hostess. I enjoyed my stay. I was greeted by the hostess. She was very personable and hospitable. The rate was reasonable and the room was adequate, clean, and restful. I enjoyed a coffee in the morning on my mini private balcony.

Lovely home in a safe area - was able to leave my car outside at night without any issues. Excellent communication and plenty of parking. Golf course view is partial as described but hard to see from patio, but patio is very nice in itself. I had a lovely time reading on the patio in the morning. Susan was very kind and welcoming, eager to please and went above and beyond. I was personally in a vulnerable emotional place and found it hard to converse and connect, but I believe that was on my end and not hers. Bed only has one sleeper pillow which surprised me. Good night's rest though with a versatile mattress; she has a firm mattress and a foam topper for softer sleepers. Towels, snacks, coffee, etc provided and she prepared me tea at night as well as a treat and breakfast in the morning. Helped me when I accidentally fell getting in the tub and splashed water everywhere! Outside is unappealing, looks sketchy, but inside is very nice and well decorated. Easy access with a digital lock and strong reliable wifi. I think the monetary value is a bit much, I paid $76 usd; I think it's worth around $60 usd. But I definitely rate this home 5 stars and would suggest it to other travelers.

Response from Ms. Helper:
Anna, Thank you for the 5 stars! I am so sorry that I didn’t know you needed an extra pillow, I did have an extra pillow in the cupboard, if only you had asked. I apologize; I will remember this for future guests and be sure to ask. I feel my price is fair considering the average cost to stay in a motel in Penticton, in the summer, is 200 a night and would not include the comforts of a home and breakfast. I strive to make my guests as comfortable as possible near the beautiful Penticton golf course. I hope you return and bring your Bellingham charm with you. Bellingham will always be near and dear to my heart. Warm regards, Sue.
