Exceptional for having being the scene of the film Moulin Rouge (2001) This 47 m2 cozy appartment recently decorated and bright is located on the 5th french floor of a well-maintained building from the beginning of the 20th century.

The space

West exposed and facing street and courtyard the appartment has an 8m2 terrace with flowerpots and a white round metallic table with two black chairs with the view on the renowned Moulin Rouge.
At first is the tiny hall having a portrait of François Truffaut, a 1900’ Louis Philippe mirror and a recessed closet behind a beige fabric curtain.
Charming the 23 m2 living room has white and grey walls contrasting with the warm red carpet and two french windows giving access to the 8m2 balcony. Placed to the right side of the hall, its furniture is composed of a square console beside the sofa, two 1930’bridge armchairs and a glass topped coffee table with rought iron legs. Beside there is an Hausmanian console (19th century), a hdTV (240 channels with embedded radio), and a Napoleon III mirror.
A rectangular wooden dining table with four white chairs is placed close to the window in the 8 m2 dinning room. This last one has a black and white stone floor. In the kitchen : Micro-wave and grill, a fridge, a large freezer, Nespresso machine and capsules, kettle and nice basic ustensils are provided.
To the left side of the hall the 13 m2 bedroom painted in a warm brown and having an off-white wall to wall carpet encloses a double bed with beside table and lamp, corner shelving, TV and radio and a window with white curtains on the courtyard side.
Across the bedroom is the three steps raised bathroom containing an italian shower, a white ceramic washbassin with baroque venitian mirror and design spot above. Toilet and a window opening to the courtyard with view on the Moulin Rouge.

What a beautiful place, fantastic location and perfectly organised! Although we didn't get to meet Marc, communication was great and he made sure we had everything we needed. Next time we're in Paris, we'll be back!

The wonderful decor of the apartment exceeded our expectations and the view of the Moulin Rouge was outstanding. Location was easy to find, if we were better at reading our map we would have headed straight for Rue Lepic ( to the right of the Moulin Rouge) and the Abbess area and on to Sacre Coeur the area is full of wonderful places to eat, little quirky gift shops and wonderful shops that provide the Parisians and holiday makers with great cheese, bread, fish etc. We made use of Marc's tips of where to eat, drink and shop and found they really were good places to go. Felt safe, and given good service everywhere. Lots of little things make the flat a pleasure, the umbrellas, snacks, coffee machine and pods, hairdryer, iron, candles, good quality knives, electrical socket adapter, great towels. The apartment is on the 5th floor, which may not be suitable for everyone as there is no lift. After 3 days, I found you did get used to climbing the stairs, though you have to take it steady at night time on the stairs as the lighting is a little dim on the stairs. We would be happy to visit again and found Marc a great host who was in constant email contact with useful information. Thank you for a great stay.

I had an excellent stay at Marc's place. He has a lovely apartment which is decorated to a high standard and very chic. Super little touches really added to the experience. Marc left us little messages and surprises all of which made us smile and made us welcome. Check-in / out was super easy all done remotely. Location is perfect right across the road from the Moulin Rouge and a wide variety of bars, restaurants and clubs ranging from top-line to independent and shady. Quick walk to Montmatre and to Pigalle, and a few mins from Gare du Nord. As the listing says it's on the 5th floor so be prepared to carry your cases up the stairs.

Wow, what an amazing flat, totally worth the climb! It really is as good as the photos, in a fantastic location and so close to the metro. The flat was very quiet, despite being in such a busy area. We also liked the clever use of lighting throughout the apartment . All the extras Marc provided, such as champagne, coffee and towels were very much appreciated. His advice on where to eat and shop proved very useful too. I would recommend this flat and hope to return there one day myself.

We didn't actually meet Marc but was greeted with an bnbsitter who made us feel just as welcome. We really enjoyed our stay here and was pleasantly surprised by the champagne and chocolates on arrival. The apartment had a Parisian feel with a modern twist and an killer view of the Moulin Rouge. Great location with a supermarket right opposite and a Metro station just over the road and felt safe when out at night. Montmartre is a short walk away and there are a lot of nice cafes and restaurant to choose from in the area and even ate at a few Marc had recommended. Overall we would recommend this apartment as it has a great overall vibe.

Marc was there to meet us on time and we were greeted with a welcoming smile! Marc showed us all we needed for our stay and we were left with a beautiful apartment for our honeymoon break to Paris. The apartment is exactly as described and seen on the photo's and comes with an amazing view on a great little balcony! We made good use of it for breakfast an evening drinks in the August heat! Good transport links - 15 minutes on Metro to Eiffel Tower. We had a great time and loved the apartment, thanks Marc.
