Perfect stay. I had a bedroom to myself (including bed, desk and even an empty cupboard) and shared the bathroom with the family, which was not a problem at all by the way. I was allowed to make my own breakfast with whatever was available and Sandy and her husband proved to be very uncomplicated hosts. I enjoyed having breakfast with her and her two young ones. Apart from that I was away the rest of the day due to a training course I took part in. The house can be reached via tram (+ bus) + walk (141 stairs if you choose that way) (I counted them), it's about half an hour from the city centre when you walk and take the tram. The walking bit is an absolute advantage when you spend you day sitting at a training course. And though 30 minutes seems to be quite far away, it really isn't. I would recommend it to everyone who wants to spend some days at Freiburg and doesn't want to pay too much for their stay. Thank you Sandy + family.

Sandy is a friendly and welcoming guest, who also provides enough private space. Her big family home is located within a beautiful quiet residential area. The guest room is located in a quiet corner of the house and allows for enough privacy. There is a bathroom right next to it. When looking for a bit more company, one is encouraged to use the shared space, which includes a large living room and a garden. There is a cat and children of all ages in the house and the overall atmosphere is very cosy.

Very easy to access to the house. Ubahn, train and bus stations are nearby and also the supermarket and the entrance of schauinsland track are mins away from there. It is simply a Perfect place for all travelers or hikers to stay. Nice and friendly family.

Sandy is really a nice and warm person, she treated me well and made me feel as at home. I stayed at Sandy's house for two nights, the room they prepared for me is really really cute and comfortable. Since I went back home late, we did not chat with each other too much. But she still helped me a lot and even brought me and my heavy luggage to the train station! Highly recommend to stay at Sand's beautiful place! Thank you Sandy~ Mika

Staying with Sandy and family was an enjoyable experience. Sandy was very accommodating and easy to get along with. I would definitely stay there again should I ever visit the Freiburg area again.
