Did not meet Agata because she had to be elsewhere, but instead was greeted by the building owner who was super helpful and generous, and even hosted us for dinner which was unexpected. Gave lots of info on the area. The Apartment was very spacious, and had nicely appointed new fixtures in kitchen and bath. Hard to have a better location, just steps from the main square and everything else. It's up 4 flights, which is what it is. Bed left a bit to be desired -- thin mattress with hard metal frame right at the edge, and quite low to the ground. But it was king sized and the room was giant. Decent amount of table space and reasonable internet. No login portal (yay!)

Response from Paul:
Thank you for the opinion, matress changed, fridge just doesn't close itself, sure we'll check is it leveled or anything else.

We've traveled to Krakow numerous times over the years and very much prefer staying in apartments instead of hotels! The pictures of Agata's apartment are true to form - it's a beautiful place, located a two minute walk from the main square. It's on a side street so there's not much noise and when the window is closed you can barely hear anything outside (except when the bin men remove the bottles from the pub nearby). Also, the apartment was lovely and clean. However, we did have a very unfortunate bed. It was the most uncomfortable sleep I've ever had in any apartment or hotel we've stayed in in Krakow (or anywhere!) The mattress was approximately 5 inches thick and laid on top of wooden slats. Everytime I moved I could feel the springs inside of it. Absolutely dismal. I ended up sleeping on the couch for the duration of our stay. Such a shame, because the apartment is absolutely lovely. The horrendous bed really did have an effect on our holiday.

My name is Paul and I am in the process of developing what was the property of my father and my grandmother before him. It is gradually being transformed from a decrepit building into refurbished apartments in central Kraków.

I am a retired Consultant Anaesthetist and I also farm Aberdeen Angus cattle in Ireland, where I enjoy bee-keeping and gardening.

I was brought up in England and went to Medical School at Leeds University. I now speak a little French and Polish but understanding both of them, when spoken, is usually still very hard.

Eating-out has long been a "hobby" of mine so I am now lucky that there are over 1000 places to eat in Kraków!
