Interaction with guests
I work for a fortune 500 company downtown... Love what I do but it keeps me very busy from about 7:30 am - 6:30 pm - With that said, I may or may not be able to "entertain" during your stay. If I am not traveling, I ask that after 9:30 / 10 PM on weeknights for things to be somewhat quite and winding down in the house -
Other things to note
My home is well secured - The back and side gates remain locked at all times and there is security lighting and several security cameras outside.
2 rules - NO EXCEPTIONS
1. Please remove your shoes upon entering
2. Be nice to my animals, my dogs are super sweet and very loving - they do shed a little bit, they may demand belly or ear rubs - they may even greet you at the door with tail wags if you are lucky -- BUT if you are not a dog person, my home will NOT be a good fit.
If you are traveling with a pet, please note there will be an additional nightly and cleaning charge added.
About my city:
RVA is an amazing place - full of history, diversity, music, friendly and hospitable folks - wonderful local craft beers, amazing amazing (did I say amazing?) food and places to eat - there is always tons to do and things to see - No matter where you decide to lay your head, I really do hope you enjoy my city as much I do!!
Must tolerate or love dogs - as mine tend to think any and all visitors (with the exception of the mail carrier) are there to specifically visit with them.... Please remove your shoes at the door. PLEASE!
The space has hardwood flooring and rugs throughout you might want pack some comfy slippers.
Quiet activities preferred after 10 pm - 7 am.
No smoking allowed inside the house, but I will allow on side porch, side patio area and in the back and side gardens.
The dogs turn on the charm and appear "starved" when you go to the fridge or having your dinner- PLEASE do not give them human food... they love it but I assure you, we will not later.
There are 2 grills the gas grill is only used for veggies - the charcoal grill can be used if you are a carnivore.
Due to safety and liability reasons.... only Airbnb guests on my property.
Also, gates of back and side fencing remain locked to prevent dog escapes.
"NO", not at all, no way - do not even think about it -NO, to any illegal stuff - expect that is just understood -
Need anything else? Just ask and I'll try my best to accommodate you during your stay.
Have a wonderful time and I am thrilled to share my little slice of Richmond heaven with you.
My name is Lee, nice to virtually meet you -
I was born and raised mostly in Virginia, I grew up about 25 miles south of Richmond and am a huge fan of the city; Richmond is amazing! Its a relatively small city, traffic is not bad and offers tons of AMAZING eats and drinks - Lots of local RVA brewery's and craft beers; delicious and diverse food options perfect for foodies - Our city is historical, urban and outdoorsy.
During the week I belong to the corporate world with the secret desire to one day re-lo somewhere balmy and warm year-round.
I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to travel for both business and pleasure - most recently returning from Brazil.
I share my small urban "cape-a-lowe" with 2 quadrupeds; Hansel and Cooper. Hans is an Affenpinscher and Coop, a short haired pointy eared "your guess is as good as mine - terrier mix". All are laid back - AFTER the initial meet and greet. If you are lucky enough to meet them, its quite possible they will may demand a few belly rubs and behind the ear scratches... I do often pet-sit a pug-terrier mix named Albert - he's quite the character. Full of energy and lots of love and snores....
Living this life and loving it - I try to make the best of every situation - with unexpected things sometimes coming at you full speed - My motto is channel your inner roller-derby girl - hip check all the nonsense out of the way and keep moving around life's track!!
Five things I can not live without:
Pets, Spotify, Nan's quilt, diet Pepsi, laughter (and sunshine but that would be six). My closest friends would describe me a happy-go lucky, laid back, advocate for those in need, hard working - and a mischievous streak!
