Welcome to 54 Bernard Street!

Step into our beautiful 2 bedroom home just off The Shore and you feel right at home. Ideal for enjoying the city, the festivals, the water, restaurants and everything else Edinburgh has to offer. Two double bedrooms and a double sofabed in the lounge means that 6 people (+1 infant) can stay here comfortably. Of course you can use our kitchen, and the bathroom has a bath, shower and toilet. Did we mention FREE WIFI? Great transport links to Princes Street too!

The space

If you are looking for a lovely, comfortable place to stay whilst in Edinburgh, you have found it! So, we are not on the Royal Mile. Don't let that put you off because our beautiful apartment is less than a minute walk from the populair area of The Shore. It is located in a warehouse style building with wide stairs and hallways.

Once you get into our apartment you will be amazed by the traditional period features, high ceilings and smart understated decor. Two generous double bedrooms and a double sofabed in the lounge offer sleeping for 6 people. The lounge has a great decorative fire place and dining table.

The kitchen has everything provided to cook a meal and / or heat up your take-away. The bathroom has a bath, shower and toilet.

Of course we have free Wifi.

Unfortunately there isn't any parking specifically for the apartment, but there is plenty of parking nearby on The Shore. However, you don't need the car in the city centre. Edinburgh has a great bus system and the nr. 35 airport bus runs along The Shore and goes via the Royal Mile. There are other bus services like the nr. 22 that take you to Princes Street in about 20 minutes. You are also near Ocean terminal, a large shopping centre with restaurants, cinemas and the Royal Yacht Brittania (the Queen's floating palace) which you can visit.

Whilst you are here it would be rude not to get a cake from Mimi's famous cake shop on The Shore. Or book yourself in for a vintage afternoon tea!

Annette's place was brilliant. We were staying for a family wedding at Thomas Morton hall and it was the perfect location for it. The flat is right on the water of Leith and has some great places for eating and drinking, try out Mintleaf for a tasty Indian or cafe Marmelade for a cracking Scottish breakfast. Flat was very clean and spacious (we were a party of 5 adults). I would definitely recommend Annette's place.

Nice place. Clean. Easily accommodated my family (5 adults). Easy bus ride to the Royal Mile. Grocery store across the street was great. Local restaurants and bars was also very convenient. Parking of rental car was also close and easy. Worked well for us.

The apartment is a perfect base - very comfortable beds - there's a small supermarket just across the road for supplies and the kitchen has everything you need. There are some lovely little cafes and restaurants in the area - Cafe Tartine just across the bridge is very good - there are excellent bus services into the city although you could walk it in about 40 minutes. Annette was very easy to deal with and very responsive to the couple of queries I had - I would highly recommend this apartment.
