We really wanted to like The Still, but too many things went wrong or were inadequately maintained for our September visit. There were a couple of minor cleanliness issues, the kitchen wasn't exactly "fully stocked" (there was only one dinner fork though there were plenty of knives and spoons, and only one small pot and one very small frying pan to use on the stove), the smoke detectors needed batteries and were beeping every few minutes (the host disconnected them instead of bringing fresh batteries), a few light bulbs were out, and worst, the A/C was out. On 85+ degree days in a place that had only one screened window, this would have been intolerable if the host hadn't brought us a box fan on the first night and a portable A/C on the second day. The portable unit struggled to cool the place but did make that night more comfortable than the first one. Also, we were not told ahead of time that the whole lake/pond was at a low/drained level and we were not allowed to use it for any activity. I will say that the place is really unique, the landscaping appeared in good shape, and we probably would have loved it if the apartment had been in operating order when we arrived.

Response from Kimberly:
Thank you so much for your feedback. Unfortunately during your visit we were out of town. Our property recently experienced SEVERE flooding from Hurricane Harvey and we are still working on putting the grounds back together - hence the low water level in the lake. Our caretakers are new and relatively young...still learning! Batteries should have been replaced ASAP and you should have been told that the grounds were still useable just not in top shape yet. This has been relayed to our caretakers for in the future. In minor cleanliness issues will for sure be looked into as our place is typically in excellent condition :) . Thank you for staying with us and my apologies in regards to our unfortunate and untimely repairs.

I love the quiet that Kimberly's place offered, very relaxing! The bed was comfortable and I had coffee for the morning. These are two things that I need to start my day. I fell in love with their dog Toto, and he proved to be a lively walking companion. The airport is only 22 minutes and downtown a little more. This was a perfect place to get away.

Our stay was wonderful! I wish we could have stayed longer though. It was a nice hidden treasure in Nashville. Kimberly made sure we had everything to get in with no hassle. Will definitely be coming back for a longer stay! Also their dog was super friendly and playful!

Enjoyed our stay at the Still! A perfect get away for a few days . About a half hour to Nashville and perfectly nestled in the country off of a lake. My husband and I will come back again someday soon? Bonnie and Al Sullins

Although in the country off winding roads, we were able to get to downtown nashville with short drive. Property is maintained and it felt like we had a resort to ourselves. Appreciated use of paddle boat. Place was clean. Cole was very accommodating building a fire in the pit one evening and starting the grill for us the following day. We loved Pluto the dog!
