A beautiful A-frame cabin nestled on 5 acres in the Salish mountains. A place for all seasons. Near many freshwater lakes for swimming, boating, fishing, hiking and atving. Snowshoeing and snowmobiling in the winter months.

The space

Full A-frame cabin with open concept kitchen/living/dining. Loft is a huge master bedroom with king bed and bathroom. The second bedroom with two queen beds is on main level. Second bathroom is also on main level. There is a wood burning stove in the floor to ceiling rock fireplace. You can also enjoy a fire in our outdoor fire pit, located in the backyard.

There are a couple of local mercantiles/pubs/eateries just minutes away for any sundries you might need.

Going South - Whitefish is just 35 minutes away. Stunning Glacier National Park an hour and fifteen minutes drive. It never disappoints!

Just over 15 minutes north is the small town of Eureka with its variety of cute shops and restaurants to try.

And our favourite - Dickey Lake - just a few minutes drive from the house. The spring-fed lake has a silica sand bottom, and is often referred to as 'The Poor Man's Carribean' (well by my husband anyways). It is great for swimming, boating, paddling, fishing. Just gorgeous.

Cell phone coverage is pretty much non-existent at the house. However, there is wifi (FaceTime and the like) and a landline for local calls.

Michelle's cabin was perfect for our trip. We went and played in Whitefish and Glacier during the day. It was about 40 minutes away, but was in a beautiful place and was quiet and peaceful. The cabin itself has all the comforts of home with a nice view. We would stay again in a heartbeat! Michelle was great to deal with and sent all the necessary info a couple days before we left. She's a great host! One tip...use the directions Michelle sends. (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps didn't quite get us there. Michelle sent the directions well in advance I just forgot to print or save them before we left.

This beautiful cabin is in a peaceful and picturesque remote location. It has all the modern amenities needed to be comfortable yet still allows you to enjoy being outdoors. It honestly looks even better in person. We had to travel a bit to get to glacier national park (about 1.5 hours) but the drive is beautiful so we didn't mind. The layout was spacious and comfortable for our family of 4.... you could comfortable have a few more people here. The beds were very comfortable and the linens and towels were a good quality. We saw deer daily on the Ant Flat Rd which my kids loved. Communication was wonderful and check in was easy. My only regret is we didn't stay longer and enjoy the trails in this area. Loved it here. PS... to future guests, bring hydrocortisone and bug spray. Being that we are from Southern Nevada the bugs thought we were delicious. Also, stop in Whitefish for any major grocery shopping but not too late... everything closes early here. Weather in this area during August was great too. Cool in the evening, warm during the day. If you are here in the summer... get huckleberry pie.... you won't regret it.

Amazing place! Very clean and welcoming. Don't even get me started about the location. It was absolutely incredible. The property literally borders a national forest historic site. It can't get better than that. Lots of wildlife everywhere. Amazing place!

Michelle's cabin feels quiet and secluded but easy to reach from the highway and only about 20 minutes from Eureka. The property is well-appointed with a full kitchen, cable TV, internet, and comfortable living space. Michelle made sure we had everything we needed and was responsive when we had questions. If you want a place to "get away from it all" in comfort, this is it!

Michelle was a wonderful hostess; Accommodating and easy to communicate with. We stayed on an extremely hot few days and the only downfall to the property was that there was no air conditioning. Michelle explained that it normally stays cool in the house and she actually had the housekeeper bring us a fan to rectify the situation. The house is beautiful! It is in a tiny town, so I would say that getting the hot tub running would create so much more to do (A hot tub was never mentioned, so no negatives about it not working). The lakes is clear blue and gorgeous with a nice small swim area for families. Overall great stay!

We arrived in the middle of the night and were totally amazed to see this lovely A Frame cabin. Our surprise only increased when we went inside and found a very clean, spacious, and well appointed lower level. There was a large fireplace supplied with wood and even the kindling had been cut. The loft had a very comfortable king size bed. In the morning we were happily surprised by the view from upstairs and also from the front patio. The is a quiet wooded area with a wetland right out front. Another surprise were the hummingbird feeders high were visited by black chinned hummingbirds everyday. There was lots of other wildlife too. We had deer right in front, ground squirrels, chipmunks and a variety of flycatchers, woodpeckers and swallows just to name a few. The cabin is very family friendly with both games and puzzles, and of course a flat screen tv. There was no cell service but the wifi made it possible to use our phones for a variety of tasks. We had a great stay and the reasonable rate we were charged made it a great value too.

I highly recommend Michelle's cabin in Trego Montana. It has all of the comforts of home, is well equipped, and very comfortable. The cabin is easy to access and in a beautiful location. If you're looking for a great place to stay you can't go wrong with this property.
