Room 4 3/4 is located inside The Jennings Hotel, the world's first Kickstarter funded Hotel and artist residency. Big views, touches of rich color, white oak floors and high high ceilings make room 4.75 the perfect place to unpack your bags.

The space

In room four and three-quarters, designer Tom Bonamici employed thoughtful touches from the Shaker tradition to create an elegant space from a small footprint. 12' ceilings and a large south facing window offer limitless mountain views that evoke a voluminous feeling from just 100 sq/ft. The spacious private bathroom, hand made accessories and a fantastically comfortable bed make room four and three-quarters a perfect retreat from the daily grind.

Guest access

Guests will have access to their room, our communal kitchen-library and sauna. Our downstairs neighbor Arrowhead Chocolates, brews Stumptown coffee and serves a fine selection of teas. They also make an unbelievable array of delectable chocolate truffles in house.

Other things to note

The Jennings is a hotel in progress and as such, you may encounter some dust. I like to think of it as bits of magic finding their way into the world. This project is a labor of love and the dust is a byproduct, it's not a sawmill or a flour factory, but don't expect an Intel cleanroom, either. I typically try to keep noise levels low when guests are staying, but there may occasionally be some hammering at respectful hours.

Perfect place to sleep for our skip into Joesph before our backpacking trip in the Wallowas. We woke up to a majestic view outside our window...direct morning sunlight, autum painted trees, and a snow capped mountain. The room (4.75) has all you need: a comfortable bed, a tidy bathroom, enough pegs to hang separately every article of clothing you had on the day prior, a great view, a perfect maize colored wooden chair, and some books on the fascinating shakers. The coffee and chocolate shop beneath the establishment is the icing. Renee was the cherry (helpful, lovely, and life-filled caretaker). We hope to come again. Kind regards, Amber and Aaron

After following The Jennings Hotel on Instagram for quite awhile, I finally found time to check it out for myself. It's just as gorgeous in person! My stay in 4.75 was just the refresh I needed. The space is quiet, relaxing, and so comfortable. Renee was wonderful about communicating and was lovely to meet in person. I can't wait for my next visit. Side note: The shampoo/conditioner they provide made my hair super shiny.....bonus!

This place was so awesome. I came across it while driving west into Oregon from Idaho post-eclipse and was lucky to sneak in for a night after a cancellation. The room was small (read: the perfect size) and the bathroom was really nice. Loved the common area with the kitchen, books, dining area, and outdoor patio. My only regret is that I hadn't heard of it sooner so I could've taken a class across the street and stayed longer! I should've used the sauna, too. I hope to come back someday soon!

The Jennings Hotel is fantastic. We're already plotting our next trip. Our room was beautiful and perfect for our stay; the clean, minimalist design was a welcome respite after a long day on the road. And we especially loved taking advantage of the communal spaces (kitchen, sauna, balcony).
