The apartment is an integral part of the ancient village of Certano and it is located on the last floor of a wing of Villa Certano, inhabited in the 15th century by the famous painter Lorenzo di Pietro, known as Il Vecchietta. It has a double bed room, living room with kitchenette, bedroom with three beds, bathroom with toilet, bidet and shower. The view on the hills and the Hermitage of Lecceto is priceless. The typical Tuscan beams and the antique furniture create a warm and cozy atmosphere

The space
The estate of Certano includes the main villa with its elegant terraced garden and lemon house, the apartments in a wing of the villa, the farmhouses once inhabited by peasants and now renovated for tourist purposes, the old stable, the winery, the ancient Romanesque church, the porch with the old well and the wood-burning oven and the park with its majestic secular cedars. Not to mention the view of the vineyards, the olive groves, the orchards and the surrounding countryside. The house has been renovated in a rustic Tuscan style, respecting the old peasant tradition, softened by some elegant touches. From the windows of Tinaia you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Hermitage of Lecceto and the gentle Tuscan countryside, as well as on the park with the secular cedars of Lebanon. The environment is quiet and relaxing, a stone's throw from Siena and the nearby town of Costalpino where you can find all the services: bar, newsagent, post office, supermarket, pastry shop, beauty center, pharmacy, tobacconist, haberdashery, phone top-ups, ATM. The tranquility of the apartment and at the same time its proximity to Siena make Tinaia the ideal destination for a relaxing and cultural holiday.
In the kitchen you will find a bottle of our organic Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG wine and a small bottle of oil, also produced by us, as a gift for choosing Borgo Villa Certano.

Guest access
Guests will have access to a great part of the property. Upon request, they can visit Borgo Villa Certano: the beautiful frescoed rooms on the ground floor of the villa, the ancient cellar dug in limestone, the Romanesque church, the shop of local products, the pretty handicraft shop and the spacious yoga room. The gardens are available to all the guests of Borgo Villa Certano. Guests will have access the Reception for any information they may need or to use the computer if they haven't got one.

Other things to note
Guests may buy wine, olive oil and vinsanto produced in Certano by asking at the Reception. Or else browse in the shop La Buca delle Fate near the Reception.

My name is Annalisa Baldassarrini. I am a descendant of the Baldassarrini family who lived for centuries at the Certano estate. I am responsible for the management, maintenance and care of the houses and apartments we rent. Fishing things here and there from the rooms of Certano's old villa, I tried to restore the flavor of the houses. On the days I was a child and I usually went to visit farmers in the homes we now open to tourists. I really enjoy going to the flea markets looking for old objects and furniture to beautify our homes and create a Tuscan atmosphere. I like the growing lavender and the creativity of love in general, and in the open shop I create fragrant sachets and various crafts to offer our guests. They have painting, decoupage, embroidery, and creativity in general. Certano makes me feel good because it enhances my artistic side!
