Our six book club members loved this wonderful, roomy home tucked in among beautiful cedar trees, but just minutes from Langley and many other attractions. The community spaces were just perfect: the dining room, comfortable living room, and shady patio in back. The private spaces were excellent for six women enjoying a weekend retreat: lovely furnishings, comfy beds, plenty of bathrooms (lol), and even a bedroom somewhat removed from the others that was perfect for our one somewhat loud snorer! The kitchen was well-stocked; this was important because we cooked our two dinners at the house. We even enjoyed the piano. Some of the women got a real kick out of the state-of-the-art toilets. Now we didn't bring little kids, but we loved seeing the little kid hideaway tucked under the stairs, replete with toys and books. Although we didn't use the gorgeous soapstone fireplace on our summer-warm weekend, we could imagine how cozy this place would be in the cooler months. We kept the gate closed, as requested, but were quite delighted that some deer managed to sneak in anyway. A doe and two little spotted fawns relaxed in the grass just outside the dining room window. Our hosts were responsive both before and during our stay. We had no complaints whatsoever!
