The stay was lovely the cottage was clean but the personal items photos on tops, food left and cosmetics could be put away in separate owners box or cupboards? Plates were dirty. Bedding clean and towels provided :)

Response from Sarah:
Hi Natasha. Sorry about the plates I will ask my cleaner to check, although I hadn't seen any dirty crockery during my last stay we have had other guests there since. We use the cottage a lot ourselves as do our family, its not a holiday let, which is why I use Airbnb, we are opening our own home entirely for guests so we do have our personal items there which in general we try to put away apart from photos. Kind Regards Sarah

Lovely walks nearby, and it was nice to come back to a cottage that felt warm and welcoming. It had all the kitchen equipment needed to cook for yourself, and the location was great.

This was a lovely little cottage and a perfect size for a family with two small children. We did enjoy our stay, however we did feel there was too much of the owners own stuff which made the stay a bit uncomfortable as it felt like they could return home at any minute. For exampl…

Response from Sarah:
Hi Rachel Sorry about the fridge we haven't been at the cottage very much recently due to the bad weather. I will ask my cleaner to make sure she throws any out of date items away and razors, she may be unsure about throwing items away . Guests do leave items in the fridge from time to time and so do we. It certainly shouldn't have been full? I will check the freezer which we rarely use as its due for a spring clear out. It is a hard balance regarding our items generally, which is why I invite guests to use cupboard, food and cleaning items if they need to, we use the cottage quite frequently and we have a lot of guests it isn't just a holiday let. Thank you for your feedback we haven't had the cottage very long so its all a learning process.

We spent three night at Sarah's cottage with our toddler and newborn baby. We were very comfortable and the stove heated up the cottage very well even though it was very cold outside! We went to Whitby and to Pickering on the Steam train from Grosmont which was amazing! With so m…
