Our newly renovated manor house features stone walls, exposed beams, fireplaces and all modern conveniences. It's in the ancient quarter of Thenon, just across from the Chateau. You can safely park in front of the house. The town has a supermarket, restaurants and 3 bakeries, one 2 minutes walk away.
We're 15 minutes from the world famous Lascaux caves and 30 minutes from the restored medieval city of Sarlat.
For families, a water park and a treetop adventure site are minutes away.
We are a tranquil base from which history buffs can explore the riches of the Dordogne. The kids can safely play in the walled garden. Gourmets will love the new oak kitchen. Or just warm your morning coffee in the microwave. Dine inside, on the terrace surrounded by grape vines, or in the garden by the Webber barbecue.
The entire house and two gardens are yours for your stay. The garage and a storage room and locked. You can park your car(s) right in front of the house. Our town does not give parking tickets. The kitchen is fully equipped for any gourmet chef in your party. We supply all linens including towels and even beach towels. There is a lake with a beach 3 minutes away by car.

Other things to note
We have just started renting the house after a big renovation. A recent guest described it as "like living in a chateau".
Quiet time after 10:00pm (22.00h)
I am a television director. My partner Marc is a costume designer.
We started with a Paris apartment in 2002. We loved it and loved living in Paris. Then we bought a medieval house in Plazac, in the beautiful Dordogne. Shortly after that Paris began enforcing a law that prevented us from doing short term rentals, so we had to sell the apartment.
A few years later, restless, we sold Plazac and bought a house in the Loire valley. This house was a gem, 1,000 years old. However, we found the people of the Loire very reserved and, with a few exceptions, not much fun to be with.
So in 2016 we sold again and moved back to the Dordogne. The people there are very friendly, warm and welcoming. We found this gem of a house, which has 9 fireplaces.
We have just finished a round of renovations and we love this new house. We hope you will too.
