We are delighted to share our home with you. We love watching stress melt away as guests experience the peace and tranquility of Peaceful Waters. Having also lived in Hawaii for a time, Annie chose to bring a touch of the Islands to Eagle for your enjoyment. The upstairs Hawaii Guest Suite is all yours, while the downstairs common areas are shared. You're welcome to make yourself at home with full access to the kitchen, living room and laundry room. We're happy to have you come and stay!
The guest suite is only accessible by climbing stairs. We live in a quiet neighborhood with small streets and are unable to accommodate RVs and large trucks, but there is a public parking lot a block away. We request only non-smokers as guests, as those who smoke, even if it's outside, bring the scent into the house where it gets into the furniture and bedding. Thank you for understanding.
Eagle, Idaho, is a lovely community, complete with a nice little downtown that has shops, restaurants, and a seasonally active community park. Our home is a few steps away from the Boise Greenbelt, which provides 25+ miles of vehicle free walking and bike riding paths that follow along the Boise river. We are only 20 minutes from downtown Boise, a great little capital city full of parks, shops, restaurants, museums, activities, and Boise State University. We are 2 hours away from McCall (a mountain resort) and Stanley (spectacular Sawtooth mountains). Also available close by are great fishing spots, white water rafting, and plenty of hiking and biking trails. Weekends offer local farmer's and crafts markets. Easily accessible are annual events that include a state fair, a balloon festival, several rodeos, music festivals and art shows. Winter brings skiing at Bogus Basin, just 30 minutes up the hill. There are plenty of things to keep you busy all year long. Come and enjoy!
Interaction with guests
As this is our private home and we love hosting guests, we like to take a few minutes to welcome you when you arrive, to show you around and answer any questions or make needed adjustments. As we have busy, active lives, keeping us informed and updated about your estimated arrival time will be greatly appreciated. Important note: If you are coming from CA, NV, OR, WA or northern ID, you are entering Mountain Time, which is one hour ahead.
Other things to note
About children: The guest suite will accommodate up to two adults and an infant and/or one child. Parents bringing toddlers or young children need to monitor them carefully as the house is not child-proofed, and there is easily accessible deep water a few steps out the back door.
About pets: Although we are animal lovers, we have not had a pet since moving into this home, so it is animal allergen free for those guests that struggle with reactions to pet dander, etc.
- A cot can be added to the room for a child; parent must supply own infant bassinet, etc.
I am happily middle-aged, married to Steve since 1980. We are both busily retired. I am a percussionist (not a drummer: there is a difference!), an amateur photographer, and regularly trail ride on horseback in the local hills. Steve is an artist involved with watercolor and plein air groups, and designs and builds sets for our local church as a volunteer. In good weather, we like taking our hybrids out on long rides along bike paths. We like to eat local, fresh and organic as often as possible, and love designing healthy meals around what can be found at the farmer's market or farm produce stands. Together we enjoy traveling, both domestically and internationally. We enjoy meeting and getting to know people from around the world, and from all walks of life.
