True country home on 16 acres at the START of the famous Adelaida Road Wine Trail. Just 4 miles from the Paso Robles Event Center/Fairgrounds. This beautiful property is nestled between the Alta Colina Winery and the Mt. Olive Organic Farm and 1 mile to the new ReFind Distillery Tasting Room. Begin your wine tasting adventure with quick walk/bike ride over to the neighbors! This home is truly in the heart of wine country. The perfect place to relax and unwind.

The space

Home was originally designed and constructed by the set designer of Little House on the Prairie. You will definitely notice the home's unique architecture as soon as you walk in. You will not find another home like this nor the massive 50 ft+ rock wall that provides cover to back side of the house.

In 2016, after more than 50+ years operating as a working cattle ranch (Brookins Ranch) and a viewing attraction for Adelaida Wine Trail travelers, the property was unfortunately shut down and put up for sale.

As a born and raised local, I had to purchase the property with the hopes of restoring it to its greatest and to allow others to enjoy what it has to offer. Since March 2017, my family and I have been working hard on the restoration - attempting to keep a lot of it's uniqueness while integrating modern technologies that will help expand the property's life. As such, we welcome you to come enjoy the experience as we continue to bring this property back to life!

House Features:
2 Bedrooms (1 Master - Queen Bed) - (1 King Bed in 2nd Bedroom), 1 full Bathroom, fun and antique full kitchen with all necessities, living room and dining nook.

We have made several upgrades on the home and the property you can appreciate the progress so far.

Please check out my descriptions for specifics and absolutely message me if you have questions.

Guest access

Guests have access to the entire house plus outside gathering area and a long paved driveway that is great for a stroll - you can even hike to the hilltop peak of the property. There are pastures in front of the house that is currently home to our Black Angus, they can be viewed from the drive way and may get close if you offer them a little hay snack :)

Interaction with guests

We don't live on the property, but there is a caretaker located on the grounds that can be reach for emergencies. We are located only a few minutes away if you need anything else, please feel free to text or call.

Other things to note

The home sits nestled into the side of a hill on 16 acres.
Bathroom has a full size shower, no bath.
Kitchen includes a coffee maker (and coffee), electric stove-top, with oven, with a variety of pans, toaster, and microwave.
Central heat and air.
We are just finishing remodeling a good portion of the house to not only improve the function of the house but also enhance the country home.
Located behind the house is a second small home that is still under remodel, we hope that you can disregard the construction activity. Being in the house you have full privacy and will not be disturbed.

Alicia's place was a real stunner. Such a cool place. Nice setting with excellent sun in the morning for breakfast outside. Lovely comfy beds, great towels, loads of space, great decor (mix of vintage and high-end modern stuff). Super close to Paso and a bunch of wineries. A superb couple of days. Highly recommended.

The Adelaida Lodge is a perfect setting for a relaxing weekend in the Central Coast. It's close enough to downtown that taking advantage of the restaurants and bars isn't a hassle, but far enough that you'll have a quiet hillside to yourself to enjoy. The house is nice and spacious with beautiful wood interiors, and comfortable for two couples, with all the standard amenities. We'd definitely consider coming back next time we visit Paso.

Great base location for visiting the Paso Robles wineries. Accommodation was clean, quite comfortable, and peaceful. It is an easy, short drive from the home to downtown, however for us middle-aged vacationers, it was just a little hard to see the driveway entrance at night. Lots of wineries on the road where the home is located. Make sure to take time to visit the Daou Winery for its spectacular views and, of couse, the wine. Host was terrific and responded to our questions quickly.

Great property and location for a secluded weekend in Paso Robles. Loved the retro kitchen w/ functional mid-century appliances. Great for 2 couples, but note that there's only 1 bathroom. Also, its a bit difficult to find at night ((SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps pins it about 100 meters up the road). In summary, loved it and would stay here again!

We visited Paso Robles for a family reunion and didn't want to stay in a hotel, we wanted to stay in in a more secluded, & private home. Absolutely beautiful home and location! Very close to stores and love how close the home is to wineries! Would love to stay again and visit the local wineries.

The Vintage Adelaida Lodge is a Paso Robles gem! The vaulted ceilings and rustic decor are gorgeous and the furniture and beds are really comfortable. The lodge is very lovingly appointed (We loved the non GMO soaps, shampoo and cleaners!) Alicia is a very friendly and accessible host. The neighboring wineries, distillery and organic farm are fantastic!
