Daniele met us at the apartment for check-in, he was super friendly and welcoming! Outstanding host as he sent a message every day to find out if everything was still ok. The apartment is situated within a nice secure building block, it's about 20min walk down 1 straight road into the City Centre. The 1st bridge by the river is about 10/15min walk where you can see a great sunset! 5min walk to nearest supermarket. All in all great apartment and privacy with Fantastic host! Great value for money.
Daniele was great and pleasent. He did everything in his power to make us feel welcome to his apartment, even checked us every day or two with message if we need anything. Apartment is beautiful, clean, close to public transport, pizzeria and supermarket. Highly recommended both the apartment and the owner. 10/10
Though a bit far from the center(25-30 min walk or 15-20 min bus ride depending on where you're headed exactly), Paolo and Daniele's loft/apartment was perfect for us, especially since we arrived by car and needed parking. We were lucky and found free street parking on a side street off the main road, where you can also park btw, just not for free (you must pay between 8am and 8pm). We were able to leave our car there the whole 3 days we were in Florence. Be mindful of the street signs wherever you end up though since they do have street sweeping. If/when taking the bus to the center, make sure to buy your bus tickets ahead of time and validate once you get on. You can buy them at any tobacco shop/bodega and there's one on the way to the bus stop from the apartment. We took Bus 17 and 23 usually, but I would check with (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps before because the bus schedule obviously changes throughout the day. The apartment itself was clean and very "IKEA/modern". It had everything we needed - fully equipped kitchen, towels, breakfast snacks, etc....though we could've used a few extra pillow cases. Daniele was the one who checked us in and he was so nice. He even checked in once a day via message to see if we needed anything. He was also a big help when it came to confirming street parking signs and finding restaurants nearby (nothing is open past 10:30/11pm though even though (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) will tell you otherwise...they all like to close early I guess). All in all, we had a wonderful time at the loft/apartment and though I might choose to stay closer to the center next time, the ability to park for free was well worth the extra commute.
