The space

This house has been in Amy's head for years. She designed and redesigned and redesigned until every inch had a useful purpose. After a year of construction, we're excited to invite travelers to come live in Portland for as much time as they can find.

Guest access

The house has a wrap around porch ideal for morning coffee or an afternoon beer. There is also a small yard outside the kitchen door for guest.

Interaction with guests

Our family lives in the main house on the front of the property and we love this city. We'll be more than happy to chat, answer questions, offer suggestions, but with a private key pad entry the tiny house is set up to offer guests as much privacy as they wish.

I stayed at Amy and Wes's place when I was traveling to Portland for work recently. And I must say, it was perfect! The house was very clean and well-maintained. The decor was perfectly perfect and the bed was super comfy. I slept really well - probably b/c my toddler was in Pittsburgh! Haha. Amy and Wes were excellent hosts. And the location was perfect. Great restaurants and shops are located just blocks away. And if you like to bike, this location is super bike-friendly. I highly recommend this spot. Just don't book it for any dates that I need it in the future (:

This place is a real gem. It's located in the most amazing neighbourhood close to tons of restaurants and bike routes and a walking and/or biking distance from downtown. Bus stops are also very close. The tiny house is everything and more we expected. The house is cute and very functional, private and has all the amenities we needed (including a laundry machine which was a great bonus). This is a relaxing place to recharge and use as your home base if you want see Portland. The hosts are wonderful and quick at responding to any questions but are also very mindful of giving guests their privacy. A very positive experience.

Truly unique experience to stay in this "tiny" Portland home. I found the location peaceful and yet nearby within walking distance you will find a marvellous pick of restaurants, bars & shops (including blue star donuts!) Amy was on hand to help and offer tips when needed, communication was great including an easy check in and check out. The tiny home is equipped with everything you need if you just wish to relax and unwind (kitchen & washing machine plus TV and great shower!) Highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience life in Portland Belmont's colourful neighbourhood as an alternative to the centre of town.

I stayed at Amy and Wes' tiny house for several days in early September. The house was perfect - cozy, but with all the amenities I needed. The location is also great. There are plenty of restaurants and other things to do just a short walk either to Belmont or Hawthorne. I ended up renting a bike and exploring Portland via bike, using Amy and Wes' as my home base. Pretty much all of East and Central Portland is bikeable from this location, and the house is actually on several good bike routes. As there was a small end of summer heatwave going on, I was also appreciative of the A/C. I would highly recommend this place to solo travelers or couples looking to explore Portland.

Beautifully-designed and in a great part of town to explore. Amy and Wes were very responsive and friendly and their tiny house offered a cute and private stay.

We feel so lucky to have stumbled upon this beautiful home. Dear readers, it's everything and more. The space is clean, bright and warm. Amy and Wes were caring and attentive and made sure we had everything needed to make our stay comfortable. We struggled between venturing down the street to bustling Belmont, Hawthorne and Division Street attractions or simply staying in to enjoy our space. We can't say enough good things about this home and are grateful to have called it ours for a few days! Thank you, Amy and Wes.

When we were younger we lost moments by thinking there's more out there. But the lessons of time (being parents has helped), has made us try harder to be present, to let the future be special, but not more special than the now. When the day in day out pushes us too far into the future, traveling always brings us back to how lucky we are to have today.
